CH.6 bonding time

Hiccup moved himself closer to the night fury and went to touch its tail,before it was lifted it with the night fury looking at him with beady eyes.hiccup immidatly got up and walked away as did the nightfury whilst you sat there snikering at the interaction.

Later that evening you and hiccup sat on two rocks near the the lake as hiccup was drawing in the grass/sand,as for the dragons they had both perched themselves somewhere to sleep,you heard a coo and purr behind you,you looked up seeing the two dragons look at hiccup drawing,you grabbed a stick and started to draw the white one who had seemed to favour you over hiccup.

You then heard one of them trudge away whilst the other one trilled at them,you and hiccup both turned around to see the night fury with a small tree drawing in the dirt,the white dragon and the night fury cooed and trilled at eachother probally communicating,you ducked your head trying not to get hit from the tree that was being flung around.

The night fury nodded his head at the art,you and hiccup stood up bewildered at the sight,hiccup moved first as he stood on one of the lines,the nightfury started growling until he took his foot off,he then started to make his way around the lines,you then heard a roar looking at the white one who looked at you then motioned its head for you to come towards it,you pushed yourself up and carefully stepping over the lines,copying hiccup.

You soon both found yourself infront of the dragons after navigating the through the art,hiccup looked up at the dragon before he put his hand up hesitantly,the night fury didnt like it and growled,hiccup put his head down turning it away,the night fury hesitated before putting his nose onto his hand.

You gasped before you turned around the dragon infront of you looking at you purring,you took out your hand and nervously held it up and looked away,hopping that your attempt at mimicking hiccup would go smooths smooth as his,without losing your hand.

The sensation that happened though was different and instead you felt soft smooth scales against your hand,you looked towards the dragon cautiously and it purred in response,you both sat there for a second staring at eachother before it sneezed and pulled away, running off.

You were all now sitting on a tower a fire was burning in the middle with everyone having a stick with their preferred food,whilst gobber was telling a story,"and with one twist,he took my hand and swallowed it whole,and I saw the look on his face,i was delicious,and he must have passed the word because it wasnt another month before another one came and took my leg"the table burst into awe before fishlegs spoke.

"Isnt it weird to think that your hand was inside a dragon,like if your mind was still in control of it,you could've killed the dragon from the inside by crushing its heart,or something"you took a small bite out of your food,you wernt exactly sure you were very hungry anymore.."I swear,I'm so angry right now,I'll avenge your beautiful hand and your beautiful foot.ill chop off the legs of every dragon I fight.with my face "snotlout remarked,Odin everyone here had a death wish didnt they.

"uh uh,no.its the wings and the tails you really want.if it cant fly,it cant get away"you then remembered that both toothless and the white dragon had an injury on their tail and wing seperatly.
"A downed dragon is a dead dragon"you looked at hiccup and he seemed to have the same thoughts as you,gobber stood up and yawned"alright.im off to bed,you should be too.tommorow we get to the big boys,slowly but surely-"

Hiccup tapped your arm and motioned his head towards the stairs,you nodded and you both left.it was now late as you were both in hiccups workshop with his desk now littered with drawings and blueprints,"hiccup,do you think you could help me make some sort of wing-cast for my dragon noticed but?"he stopped his sketching and looked at you with a raised brow,"what?"you asked"you said 'my dragon'"he pointed out as you blushed embarrassingly.

"We bonded okay-,just shut up I dont have a proper name like you do with toothless yet"he snikered before stopped again momentarily as he checked his drawing,"I think it's a female"you looked at him confused"what?","the day fury,I think it's a female""the day fury?really is that all you could come up with?""oh hush just look."he then showed you a side by side drawing of toothless and the "day fury",you hummed maybe you'll ask her tomorrow,"I think light fury is better fyi"he just rolled his eyes and continued working on a solution for your conjoined problem.he eventually got a blueprint he was happy with and went down to get it made,though you were already spent so you went to bed.preparing for the next day.

The next day he had woken you up early and had dropped off a weird looking invention into your arms,it was was long and bendy,with thin white wool attached to it,so this was the brilliant solution to (d/n) wing issue,yes (d/n) you thought of it last night.

You made your way to the cove and hiccup called out to toothless,you both went over to your respected dragons and got to your devices.

You plopped down a basket full of fish and gently put the wing contraption next to it,"alright (d/n)I need you to co-operate with me alright-"you opened the fish basket and pulled a fish out,"now I'm going to give you a fish-as a rewards alright?.because this thing right here is going to help you"you held up the wing bandage,as hiccup called it and held out your arms and raised them up to try signifying (d/n)s wings,

She looked at you with a puzzled expression,you pointed to her wings and repeated the action again.althought puzzled she raised up her wings and looked at you perplexed,"good girl"you said as you held out the fish,she went to close her wings and you pulled the fish back,"no I need you to hold them up (d/n)"she paused before sighing and holding them back up.

You smiled and pushed the fish basket over,you peered over to hiccup as you watched toothless hiss at an eel,"noted,no eels"
Luckily you didnt add any eels to your basket,you then went around (d/n) and started to apply the mechanism,she groaned in discomfort and huffed,"I know girl but this is gonna help"you reasured her,you clipped the wing bandage on around the rim of the wing and the sheet of wool flattened against the wing,the contraption was simply.it was double sided and went around the whole wing,the rim fit onto the edge on the wing and then there was a thin peice of leather that was put around the torso and lower neck to it would stay on.

After she realized you were done she flexed her wings and looked at the bandage,swirling her wings before sniffing it,she cooed at you and nuzzled into you,not being used to the affection you held your hands up before lightly petting her.

You turned around after hearing hiccup yell,you were not expecting to see what was infront of you at all,hiccup was holding on to toothless's tail whilst he flew,though that didnt last long as they soon started to plummet,your mouth gaped open as you watched in shock,(d/n) Sat beside you and scoffed before scratching at the uncomfortable leather,you looked at her for a second making a mental note to ask hiccup to change the material.before turning back.

Hiccup then pulled out the tail fin,saving them from narrowly plummeting to the ground,they went out the cove into the sky before looping back and gliding across the water,toothless looked at hiccup before flinging him off into the water,however without hiccup maning the tail it didnt work.

Toothless roared before he soon plummeted into the lake aswell,you heard (d/n) make a sound akin to that of a laugh,you looked at her and snikered too,before going to pick up the basket,well guess it was fate that bought the 4 of you together.
