You sat lifelessly in the morgue.

Connie and her mother sat right beside you, watching in pity as you stared at the ground while leaning on the wall. You didn't give a single response to whatever they said.

They tried offering you something to eat, but you wouldn't even raise your gaze from the ground. You just sat hunched over while leaning on the wall beside you.

The ambulance had made it half an hour after [Sister Name] had passed away. The doctors in the vehicle tried to defibrillate her, but it was of no use.

The autopsy revealed that the cause of death was ultimately fat embolism syndrome.

The police had somehow made it to your neighborhood, where your mother was tied up and on the floor of your house. They immediately arrested her while the rest of the forces came in the morgue to question you, but seeing the unresponsive state you were in, they decided to wait a while.

Thankfully, Connie and her mother helped you and answered most of the questions the police had in regards of the current situation. But the situation involving your mother's abusive nature was something only you could answer.

They decided to put the questioning on hold for a while, letting you emotionally catch up on the death of your sister.

This time, the one to be struck with grief was you... yet your friends were no where to be found...

[Sister Name]'s funeral was held about a day after the entire incident.

Even if you were in no condition to be dealing with anything, the thought of keeping your sister's body in that eerie, cold room, all alone any longer horrified you.

With a painfully heavy heart, the funeral was held.

Again, Connie and Mrs. Lee did practically everything for you. They were the ones who mostly stayed in contact with the funeral home, not wanting you to shoulder all this when you should be grieving.

The one thing you decided to state your opinion in, were the flowers.

With dead eyes, you let your mouth do all the talking without thinking about a single thing other than processing that same sickening scent again.

Lilies and carnations.

Since her body was absolutely bruised and battered, you decided against a wake or viewing, and decided to have a simple funeral.

It was snowing on her funeral.

There wasn't even a lot of people, in fact, there was hardly anyone present other than [Sister Name]'s friends and a few of your neighbors.

Your friends were nowhere to be found...

Everyone present offered you their condolences, and you nodded without a single word. No eulogies, no words exchanged between you and anyone else. You always thought that if your mother were to die at some point, you'd have Stan and Xeno at your side to help you. But instead, it ended up being your little sister's funeral, and with neither of them beside you.

Instead, Connie stayed by your side, never leaving you alone so that you wouldn't suffer by yourself.

[Sister Name]'s teacher also came and hugged you, telling you how sorry she was and how the world had just lost a very precious diamond, that was [Sister Name].

Even when she gave you that heartfelt condolence, you just nodded. That was all you could muster up in the flurry of emotions inside of you.

Pain, sadness, misery, loneliness, guilt, horror... everything was mixed up inside of you.
