Erik's POV

After I had gotten Christine home, I began searching that place she talked about. A part of me just wanted to stay by her side to make sure she was alright. Yet another part of me knew I needed to find Meg. The need inside me won, yet I soon knew my love and care for Christine will soon become a need as well. If she kept continuing that behavior she had earlier.

I was just destroying my office for anything she could've left behind. Anything she needed something, she would write a note and leave it in my office for Christine or I to find. Trashing the entire place for clues or a clue of any sort seemed like a good idea at the time. Meg was Christine's best friend and Antoinette's daughter! I needed to find her for not just her own sake and for the sanity of others. Once everything was turned upside down and still nothing, I just stood there. Not doing anything but thinking about all the possibilities and such. Just then something caught my attention.

Out of the corner of my eye something shined bright. Bending down to see it, I saw a piece of paper that had golden letter's written on it. And the ad was for women's undergarmetns and such. I didn't know that the hell this was doing here. I defiantly do not use it. Christine wouldn't take her's here to Phantasma. Well the paper I mean. Wearing it though... I shook my head to get back on track.

Meg..... Meg surely it must be her's. Now I don't know why this was so important but at the moment, anything that had to do with her is a clue. And of valuable evidence for the future if needed be. On the back it was confirmation that she owned it. Her signature was evident and I guess that's her style. I wouldn't know about her. My focus on these things are for Christine and her alone.

But the thing is, why? Why did this feel like something important. So until then I had placed it inside my jacket pocket for now. Just in time for my beloved to open the door. When I saw her my heart sank. My poor angel looked like she literally flew up and down the entire building.

"Anything?" She asked with sadness visible in her tone and look. All I could do was shake my head at her answer. I didn't want to bring up the ad just yet. Not until I knew it was of something important. Christine looked at me then shook her head as a flash of confidence took over her. Which was odd her her to change emotions like I do so quickly without being pregnant.

"Well there's more places than Phantasma obviously." Now that was true and obvious. But where to begin I wouldn't know.

"Yes of course. But we need to know more facts than just searching mindlessly." I reminded her as she sighed and gave me a 'really?' sarcastic look. Got a lot of those when she was pregnant. I mean I didn't have any experience with that so I was called out many times for it.

"Erik I know that. And besides, there's the pier- Oh my gosh the pier!" That glimpse in her eyes of a crazy person flashed before me. I should know that being one myself back then. She then ran out and I, of coursed, followed her. Dang she was fast on her feet. I followed her to the stables and then saw her running away on a horse. Was it just me or did she wear a bit less fabric than she did two minutes ago. With no time to waste I got on our stallion, Majestic, and raced after her. Calling out her name desperately. I knew what she meant by the pier. I thought of that too. But we would've heard something by now. Though that didn't mean I wanted her to fall and drown. The thought of losing Christine like that made me go faster getting closer to her.

Once there I saw her running up on the boardwalk to the edge. Thankfully it was becoming a cloudy day and there wasn't many people around. Still I continued on, seeing her leaning over the edge, gripping on for dear life. Then looking towards the ladder she started climbing down. Following her she just stood at the bottom in the dirt calling out for Meg. That made me even more scared for her. Once she relaxed a bit I came up from behind and pulled her to me. Good thing too before she jumped back on Shadow.
