Perry led his boys out through the, no longer, secret passage behind the refrigerator. Acquiring permission to give them a complete tour of his lair was less officially granted and more 'Carl agreed to delete the security footage in return for an unspecified favor.' Monobrow was already in conniptions over how any members of his host family being in the know was going to effect agency insurance premiums.
The excitement etched on Phineas' face had faded into a thoughtful look. "So are all animals, uh," he winced, failing to find a word that might not come off as speciesist, before just waving a hand at Perry, "you know?"
Perry nodded.
Phineas and Ferb paled.
But, it made sense. Their animal translator had worked on all animals. And hadn't those cows that gone through the mall does some odd stuff? Like try on clothes? And sit at the tables to eat lunch?
...They really should've noticed something was up with the animal population sooner.
Linda walked into the kitchen, prompting Perry to return to pet mode. "Hi, boys, what do you think of fried chicken for dinner?"
The brothers exchanged a look. "Actually, Ferb and I are thinking about going vegetarian."
