"No Kenny I'm smaller and quiter. If you go they'll finish you in seconds." I opened my mouth to protest but she continued. "This is not a debate, you can't convince me otherwise."
She looked determined and I knew trying to stop her would only cause us to bicker, which will lead us no where. I knew she wasn't going to give up.
"Give me one of your microphone thingy and I'll tell you when the coast is clear. We have forty five minutes before their two hours is over. We need to act fast. You know you send everyone inside once the three entrances have been cleared. I just need to make sure they are not watching me through the CCTV room." She said as she took out her phone and dialled a number. She was in boss mode and no one dared to question her, even though we were all her superiors.
"Hey Madds. I need you to hack into the mall's system and switch off the cctv." She said to whoever was on the other line and waited for their response. "Yeah the mall we always come to, I'll explain everything later."
She hung up the phone and pointed to the communication device in my hand. I gave her the phone and she immediately activated it and put it in her back pocket.
"I'm going in. Wait for my signal." She said and walked away before I could say anything. She sneaked through the many cars at the parking lot heading to the east side of the mall while hiding from the terrorists who were gaurding the front.
I hated that Blue had to do this. I hate that she has to put her life in danger in order to save everyone. I hate the fact that something could happen to her. I hate that I can't protect her. I hate that she's this stubborn. But I trust her and I can't tell her not to do her job. She has a lot of experience than many junior officers and as soon as she sends the signal, I'll make sure no bullet touches her body.
Blue soon dissapeared from our site and I was getting worried about her. She's been gone for two minutes and I can't even communicate with her. What if I get her caught by talking through the walkie talkie?
I was contemplating on wether to follow her when I heard Blue's voice from the microphone of the man that was infront of me. I quickly grabbed the phone from the man and called her out. "Blue ?!" I said in panick. If something happens to her I won't ever forgive myself, I know that for sure.
"The coast is clear, come inside through the cleaners entrance." Blue said and I immidietly told my team to inform everyone as I rushed to the same direction Blue went.
I walked inside the mall and immediately saw four dead man on the floor and two others on my left. Blue killed them ? She was outnumbered and she didn't even take long. How was she able to-
I was snapped from my trail of thoughts as a some police officers and soldiers burst through the small door.
They all immediately spread to all the other entrances. They must have been informed about the plan. We usually don't operate like this. We only kill when the victim's life is in danger. But in this case hundreds of people are in danger. It's a matter of life and death, even though I hate the killing. I have to put my morals aside to save everyone. It's my duty.
Blue strictly instructed us to activate the silencers on our guns to not arlet the terrorists who have the people captive. We were silently killing the terrorists who were gaurding the doors.
I was looking around for a particular set of long black hair intil I saw Blue running up to me. "All the entries are clear, send the whole team inside. They are at the second floor." She said referring to the rest of the terrorists and the people held captive.
I immidietly spotted Jake and told him to go inform the rest of the team outside to get inside. Within a minute an army of soldiers and policemen walked inside all three entrances. There were about a hundred of them and we all went towards the stairs while some took the elevators.
After arriving at the second floor we found about atleast twenty armed terrorists surrounding the shoppers who were all siting down looking petrified.
My team surrounded the terrorists and we pointed our guns at them. They looked shocked to see us there, they must be wondering how we got in when they made sure to put gaurds on all entrances. The gaurds were supposed to inform them as soon as we tried to get it.
But Blue's plan that we strike them from the inside, where they wouldn't expect us to be, worked. They didn't even see us because they were gaurding the front of the mall, not the inside-where we striked from.
"Put your guns down and your hands at the back of your head." My right hand man, Jake said.
The terrorists looked around and realised they were done for. There were atleast sixteen of them and a hundred of us. There was nothing they could do.
People looked relieved and scared at the same time. Mothers trying to quite their crying kids while some were praying, others were hugging each other. People were scared for their lives, who wouldn't?
The terrorists slowly put their guns down and their hand up and immediately my team proceed to cuff them. One terrorists roughly grabbed a weeping seven year old girl and pointed a gun on her head.
"Let go of them or I shoot the girl." He said.
The little girl was crying while calling for her mom who was also crying trying to get closer to her daughter.
"Don't move or I shoot the kid. Put your guns down and uncuff my friends. We will negotiate the amount you pay us after that. This time we'll double it because we told you to not try any funny businesses ." The terrorist said and his friends nodded as they all looked impressed.
My whole team looked at me for instructions and I was about to tell them what to do when we heard a loud gunshot.
Everyone turned to the direction of the gunshot and saw the terrorist drop dead behind the little girl. There was a bullet between his eyes as the little girl ran to her mother and cried on her shoulders.
We all looked at where the bullet came from and was shocked by the sight infront of us. Blue's hands were still raised as she held the gun in her hands. I never thought I'd see Blue kill someone, this is a sight I never imagined I'd see.
I know she killed all those men at the east entrance but knowing is nothing compared to seeing. She saved the life of everyone that was kept prisoner inside this mall. This girl never fails to amaze me, literally.
Blue turned around and climbed the stairs down. It's probably because more than four hundred people are staring at her.
As soon as she dissapeared I instructed my people to arrest the terrorists and others stayed to help the truamatised victims.
I got out of the mall and found Blue outside, under a tree. Like she didn't just save hundreds of lives.
I went closer to her and she turned around to look at me. I immediately pulled her into a hug. Blue doesn't know what an amazing woman she is and I felt the need to tell her.
"You're amazing." I said as I held her closer. Inhaling the Honey Vanilla scent that I've grown to have an obsession with. She always smells good. But most importantly, she always feels good.
I'll never be able to express how grateful I am to have her in my life. Words couldn't describe the love I have for her and- wait, did I say love ??
