CHAPTER 7

REVELATIONS

"Yes," Tsunade echoed. "Three,"

The silence that enveloped the group had been unexpected seeing as most of them expected the Uzumaki to laugh in disbelief or even shout with joy at the sudden acknowledgement for his mother's family name.

"What do you mean, Tsunade?" It was Hiashi who first spoke the words ringing in all the present persons' heads. His eyes were hard and strained, as though years had come to him due to the recently concluded war. As a veteran both as a leader and as a shinobi, he felt the upcoming news was not going to be easy to swallow especially judging by Tsunade's instruction.

"A man is on his way to our village. He has brought a message from the Raikage."

"What does this have to do with us then?" Naruto asked, unable to connect the dots. Truth be told, even the Uchiha and the Hyuuga were having difficulties piecing together what the matter was with just the words Tsunade has spoken.

"I have 3 matters to say to you, listen carefully and then ask your questions afterwards: 

One, that man on his way here is Kozuya and he is the grandfather of Mizukage who went en route to Raikage in order to assist with a mission that the Raikage has taken upon himself in the aftermath of the war, this mission of Raikage's has something to do with conducting highly confidential autopsies on cadavers collected from the aftermath of the recent War. And Kozuya brings with him two very important messages: the first from Raikage, and the second from himself.

Two, I believe I have an inkling regarding the matter that Kozuya wants to speak to me about, and it has something to do with the looming threat that we, the Kages, have recently come to notice post-war. His message will be valuable information that will help us take the necessary steps in possibly countering this potential threat. He may come with information about both the threat and the solution, or he may come with only either. But he will have valuable information to share. However, I have yet to see the motive behind his actions.

And three, everything that is going on... Everything I have just mentioned now, has a bearing on the future of the three families I mentioned -- especially on the three of you, Uzumaki Naruto, Uchiha Sasuke, and Hyuuga Hinata."

Tension filled the air and no questions came as everyone in the room allowed the information to sink in. But among all of them, the three mentioned last were the most troubled as it seems they were to be involved in the great threat that the Kages had been so troubled by. The burden of which made them have grave dispositions.

"Then, Hokage-sama," for the first time, Hyuuga Hanabi spoke up, holding her head high as she addressed the leader of the village after her speech. "What is my purpose being in this meeting?"

Tsunade looked Hanabi dead-straight in the eyes before answering with a clear, loud voice. "Because you, Hyuuga Hanabi, because of these troubled times and the consequent, necessary changes they will bring...will become the official Heiress of the Hyuuga clan."
