This was supposed to be a war
Between you and me, why did we get this far?
Paraded me like one of your famous stars
Swatches of concealer for every bruise and scar.Every moment becomes a redemption
What you did to me shouldn't be an exception
I shouldn't be doing things for your gratification
But why am I still blinded by your
so-called devotion?Every word spoken, pierced within
In just seconds, velvet paint on the skin
No, enough of this, and I won't be deceived again
For even the smallest fibers of my being,
you will no longer reignEven if I seem to be of no power,
victory over my body I will regain.
