One Of A Kind (Ajax x M! Reader)

     "Now your both gonna tell me what you guys were doing" he says gesturing us to my bed. "We weren't doing anything bad, we just went to go throw Wednesday a surprise party that's all" I shrug. He groans. "Fine, but next time tell me, I got worried something happened to you guys" he says. I nod, so does Ajax. "Now get the hell off my bed, I'm going to sleep" I say pushing both of them off my bed. "Wait! Where am I gonna sleep!" C/n complains. "On the floor, that's what you get for shaking me" I say. He sighs. "I'm gonna tell my mom that your being mean to me" he threatens. This bitch, he's 16 and he's snitching. "Fine, but your only getting a little space, one third of the bed is yours the other parts is mine" I state throwing the smallest pillow on his side. He jumps on his side. "What about the blanket?" He asks. "You can sleep in your jackets, you don't deserve all this heat" I sassily say. He sighs grabbing his jackets and putting them on. Ajax laughs, I look at him with a 'you wanna be next?' Expression, he stops laughing and faces the other way. "Goodnight bitches" I say sleepily. I get two good nights back, good they know they're manners.

Timeskip

     I wake up in the morning from the sun beaming into my eyes. I groan turning in bed. "C/n go close the curtains, now" I say groggily. "No you do it, your younger" he says back just as groggily. "Yeah but I'm stronger than you" I say. "Ugh, but next time your closing the curtain" he says getting up and closing the curtain. I hear a laugh. I open my eyes to see Ajax giggling while looking at us. I sit up rubbing my eyes, when I finish I look up to Ajax and squint my eyes due to the blurriness. "And you couldn't just close it for us why?" I ask Ajax. He giggles as he shrugs. Lazy I tell you, lazy. Not me, him.

Timeskip

"Did you hear what happened last night?!" Enid shouts running up to me, stealing me from Ajax's arms and C/n's range. They look at me confused and both of them frown. "I'll find you two later, I'm getting some tea" I gleam. "No girl, what happened?!" I ask excitedly. She doesn't seem so happy about it, maybe it isn't good tea? "Xavier got arrested last night" she says. I raise my eyebrows at this. Arrested? For what? "They think he's the monster!" She shouts. The people around us look at us as I cover her mouth. "Girl your so loud!" I say. She nods her head signaling that I could remove my hand now, and I do just that. "Why would they think that? He doesn't seem like the type?" I ask. "Wednesday said she found some stuff weird and every incident the monster was he was always there" she says. Okay that does sound kinda weird, maybe he was the monster, but I thought he was a sight seer? "Okay well, I gotta go now, bye I'll talk to you later I guess" I say waving to Enid. She smiles and waves back before walking the other way. All of this is so strange, for some reason I feel like this isn't all over yet.

When Y/n leaves with that girl I walk forward not bothering to follow Ajax, I don't dislike him, I just feel like being by myself right now. I walk into a deserted hall and I see this hooded figure walking towards the door to the school. This looks suspicious. "Who are you and what are you doing?" I ask this figure getting ready to use my ability. Instead of attacking me, this figure makes a run to the door. I chase after it not letting it get out of my sight. I conjure a little bit of rain above the figure hoping the rain would make it slip and fall, but it doesn't work. I keep running as this figure runs more into the woods, this person could be the root to all of our problems, I can't loose it. Although I am chasing a mysterious figure in the woods where the monster is, I'm not stupid and careless like how Y/n is. I make a thunderstorm and swirl the clouds above where I am and make it follow me. That's me and Y/n's signal. For me, I make a thunderstorm and hold up all the rain and bad stuff like that, and a little swirl where I am so Y/n can pinpoint my location. For Y/n, his isn't so natural, he grows a long and thick vine and shoots it into the air making it follow him so that I can pinpoint him. It's a lot more reckless yeah, but hey, we're outcasts so they aren't really gonna ask us anything. Unless it's the cops.

     As I continue my little chase I hear stomping noises approaching me, I turn to see the monster running towards me. My eyes widen in horror, i haven't seen one of these since Y/n's family died, a Hyde. "Both you and your cousin are stupid, this is how you die" the hooded figure says. This voice, it's a girl under that hood. The Hyde raises its hand and goes to swipe down at me. I was gonna use my wings to fly away from the situation, but it was too fast. Shit, im dead.

Just before the claw reaches my face it changes its course, going to the side. As i Look i realize that it's Y/n's foot kicking the Hyde's claw away from me. He has his wings out. He scoops me up bringing me into the air. "C/n I thought you were faster" he teases. Is he really gonna make fun of me when I almost got killed?! He has a smirk on his face as he giggles. I take off my cape as I start flying by him, we both look down at the monster and the hooded figure to see them retreating. I fly after them until an arm blocks my way. "It's not worth it, we don't know where it could be running, maybe it's going to more of those things, who knows." He says shrugging. I nod, we fly back low to the ground in front of the gates and put our capes back on. We walk our separate ways and I go back to the dorm.

We head off more into the woods escaping those menacing birds. We go to a spot and make sure nobody is around before I go back to normal. "Why weren't you more careful?! I had it covered with the second one, but the first is a whole different story!" I yell talking about the two boys from the little encounter earlier. "I wasn't expecting the company" the hooded figure says. I shake my head. "It's okay, you almost killed the one that chased me" the figure says trying to cheer me up. Tough luck. "Yeah but I didn't, all because of Y/n" I spat.
"The time will come for you to kill them, but for now we have to finish this as soon as we can" the figure says. I nod.

I will, kill those birds.

Well that makes no sense at all. If the supposed monster is in jail... how the fuck did my cousin and I encounter it? I don't think Wednesday had the right person behind bars. I go back to my dorm because it's getting a bit dark. I walk in with a confused look on my face. "What's wrong?" Ajax asks. I shake my head sitting down by him on the bed. "This is all just so confusing" I say blankly. "What do you mean?" He asks. I raise my head to make eye contact with him. "The monster, apparently Xavier is the monster and he went to jail, but earlier C/n came in contact with it, so now I don't know if there's two monsters or just one" I state. He looks at me in shock. "Wait, your cousin saw the monster?" He asks for clarification. I nod. He raises his eyebrows questioning my words. "I saw it too, it's looked e tacitly like the one from before, maybe Wednesday got the person?" I question him. He nods. He kisses my cheek as tackles me into bed. "What the fuck are you doing?" I ask him. "This is too much for you, go to sleep and worry about this stuff later" he says holding me. I deadpan.

"No" I say sitting up. He gets up and frowns. "Why not?" He asks frowning. So dumb this boy, I still love him though. "I didn't shower you idiot" I state. His face goes red in embarrassment. I get up to shower unbeknownst of the events that would occur just a few minutes after.
