The world had always been a distant blur to Taehyung-something he observed from behind a thick glass, never quite stepping in. He existed, but he never truly lived. People admired him from afar, whispered his name like he was some untouchable myster...
"He wasn't hers. Not yet. But if she had a choice, she'd never let go."

She hated how her heart raced whenever he was near, how jealousy flared when other girls left him cute notes, even though he ignored them. He made her dopamine levels go all silly. Even his dumbest jokes made her smile, and she found herself blushing at thoughts she shouldn't be having.
She wanted to hate him for making her feel this way—but she couldn't. Her weakness had always been chocolates but now it was him.

"Falling for him wasn't the plan, but damn, every time he smiled."
***
She was all innocent and naïve before she met him, now her mind was only filled with unholy thoughts.
She was also often perplexed thinking how could she politely ask him to just slam her against the wall and make out with her. The mere thought of his lips on her neck drove her crazy. She has even been looking up for cute proposals going as far as imagining herself in place of the k-drama leads but never seemed to gather up enough courage to execute one.

"Being around each other was easy. Accepting what it meant was the hard part."

As they walked out of the library, both secretly smiling at their thoughts, Taehyung casually suggested, "Let's stop by a café. We deserve a break."
Y/N didn't even hesitate. "I'm in."
But her excitement was short-lived when he added, "We'll have to walk there, though."
Her face fell instantly. She was quick enough to think of ways to brush off the overly tantalizing offer just because of the rabblerouser condition (walking to the café). There were no cafés until the next two kilometres so toddling to one seemed absolutely draining to her. Not to mention both of them were totally worn-out.
She was just about to decline his offer with a heavy heart when inspiration struck and she very cleverly slid her proposition. Smirking, she shot back, "I'll only go if you give me a piggyback ride."
Taehyung didn't even blink. "Hop on."
She was certainly not expecting it and her face perfectly exhibited that. She almost shrieked, "WHAT?!!!"
He was already crouched down, his back to her, waiting. "Come on. Be fast on your foot. My legs are aching." He said impatiently.
She hesitated for a moment before sighing dramatically. "Yeah, yeah, okay, geez."

And like that she clambered up on his back, she barely had time to adjust before he shot up like the beanstalk he was.
Taehyung couldn't resist teasing her. "So, how's the view from up here?"
Y/N scowled and gave yet another hard whack across his head. "Ow! Easy there, woman."
"That's what you get for messing with me."
He chuckled, adjusting his hold on her. "Alright, mighty queen, my apologies. Now, unless you want to end up face-first on the pavement, wrap your legs around my waist."
She hesitated again but ultimately complied, hooking her legs securely around him. The last thing she wanted was to fall flat on her face.

"Sometimes, the safest place isn't a location—it's a person."
***
Silence settled between them, comfortable yet charged, until Y/N noticed something off. She furrowed her brows. "Uh, Taehyung, why are we headed to the parking lot?"
He smirked but didn't answer. "You'll see when we get there."
Y/N narrowed her eyes. "What are you up to?"
Taehyung only chuckled, carrying her effortlessly toward whatever surprise he had planned.

"Not every moment needs to be defined—some are just meant to be lived."
