Wang Linxue exclaimed in her head,'Where did you get it?!'

Seeing her daughter keeping mum she continued," This is a real opal necklace that the maid found on your bed yesterday. Where did you get this, Xue Xue? Did you steal this?"

Oh shoot! Was she going to accuse me of stealing? Make up something fast Linxue. Now!

"I bought it!"

"Where?", Her mother calmly asked.

"At school from a friend. She said she had a lot of jewelry and sold this one to me.",Wang Linxue took a chance and didn't want to expose the truth.

What was she supposed to say? That she had transmigrated into a novel, that's here right now. And this necklace is the only evidence that she did and was not crazy.

" Mm, I will give it back to you later." Her mother placed the necklace beside her on the table.

" Is this an issue Luman? She said she bought it . Leave her alone."

" You spoil her too much. I will give it back to her after dinner." She quipped.

" Whatever."

Wang Linxue looked back and forth at them confused. Was the respect they had also a facade? Did they even sleep in the same room together?

Sigh.

Wang Linxue laughed awkward and nervously before take finishing her food with her eyes lowered.

Wang Linxue went to her room soon after and started using her phone randomly. From what she had garnered, she was eleven soon to be twelve and had a lot of things that she did not have when she was twelve in her past life.

Her life had easily become easier and she could have anything she wanted , but why did everything seem like a farce. To uphold some perceived image to others.

Clearly her parents did not like each other. If so why are they married? Is this what wealthy people did?

A maid came to knock at the door and told her her violin teacher had come today.

'Now she had a violin teacher. Wait, she didn't know how to play a violin.'

She went downstairs as her mother was talking to an old man who was in his sixties.

He was dressed in a formal white shirt with a black tie and black trousers. Another person tailed behind and she wondered if it was his assistant or not so she waved at him.

Stunned the assistant subconsciously waved back at her.

" Ah Xue Xue, your violin teacher is here. Go on and head into the courtyard while I send in some food."

"Thank you Mrs Wang but I already ate.",he declined politely.

"Come on, at least have some tea", she ignored the man and ordered the tea to be brought.

"Come on then, Linxue."

The man and the assistant followed Wang Linxue out to the courtyard where everything was set up for the lesson.

"How are you today?",he questioned her as he took his notes out of his bag.

"I'm good uncle."

The man chuckled at the name she gave her.

' She had never called her uncle before. Only teacher or his full name sometimes. Not that he minded.,'

"Ok, let's begin."

She went forward and picked up the violin a little awkwardly. She imitated the people she saw on the tv by bringing the violin up her shoulder and placed her chin on the rest and picked up the bow as well.

Almost carefully, she drew the bow across the strings but it created a piercingly annoying tune.

Wang Linxue cringed at the sound herself and stared at her teacher sheepishly.

The man frowned and wrote some notes down while the assistant chuckled amused wondering if she was messing with the man.
After several minutes of encouragement and trials, the tune though she could process it, it didn't come out right. It was like a memory she could not access.

Her teacher put his notes down and cleared his throat a bit surprised. She could play the violin quite well just three days ago.

'Was she pretending to be bad or was it that this whole time there was a sound recorder playing every time she played.'

" Ok, so here's your problem. It's like you have never even touched a violin before and that's so bizarre since I trained you your whole life. Are you playing with me Linxue?"

He went on to list a number of mistakes and faults in a weirdly scolding tone.
Like your favourite student wasn't living up to your expectations kind of tone.

" Let's start from the top. Again."

'This was going to be a loooong day!',she whined inwardly. She did not even like playing the violin .
