Ella's POV

“ It's such a pity you had to get caught up in this whole mess, I mean, you are a pretty woman. You could have gone on to marry a nice man and have lovely children, but your bad luck just had to get you involved with the Fords.”

“She is not to be given any food or water, I want her to whither away, I also want you to get everything on video, I want him to watch life drift out of her just like it did out of my father”.

I could feel the sick joy he was getting from all this, I couldn't see his face, but I was sure he had a smile on. Why did he have a mask on? And who was he?, why was I being used in his sick plot for revenge?

“ Why are you doing this? I'm not even a member of the Ford family, Please let me go!”

“You see, I can't do that sweetheart, you may not be a member, but you play a significant role in my plan”.

“You twisted bastard” I spat on him.

He burst out laughing," I think you should save whatever liquid you have left because I promise you darling you will be needing it”.

His words left a shiver down my spine, was I really going to die down here? His phone rings just as he walks out the room and I could swear I knew that ringtone but from where?

Henry's POV

The day was finally over, I couldn't wait to get home and see that gleaming smile that I love so much. Life finally had colors for the first time in a while.

“You haven't told me where you went off to last night” Carlton said. I had completely forgotten he was right beside me.

“You are my P. A not the minister of my life affairs”

“To me, they are just about the same thing”

“ You should take your advice and get a girlfriend, maybe then you won't have to worry so much about me”.

The moment I opened the door, I could sense something was wrong. I paused and looked around for a minute, Emilia didn't come greet me like she did for the past 10 years and the house seemed almost quiet. The last time this happened was when dad died…

I didn't even finish with the thought before I found myself sprinting over to the living room, leaving Carlton in a confused state. I breathe a sigh of relief seeing mom and Cassie sitting over on the couch, they both seemed to be engrossed in their phones to notice I even practically ran in.

“What is going on here?”

“What happened to your phone?” Mom asked, looking over at me, both her and Cassie seemed to be panicking.

It went off, and I didn't remember to charge it, which is why I pay Carlton. I said, glancing at him.

“Why? Have you been trying to reach me?”

“Ella is missing”. The next to I hear is the thud from my briefcase hitting against the floor.

“We've been trying to call her but It's been going straight to voice mall" Cassie added.

"What do you mean missing? Have you called Steve, wasn't he supposed to bring her back this morning?”

“We already did, he said he didn't find her in her room this morning, so he left thinking she came back home already”

“Well she obviously didn't!, We should call the police, I hurriedly take my phone out my pocket. “ Shit! It's dead. Cassie, call the cops”

“We already did that. They said it not a missing case yet since she's an adult, and it's not been up to 48 hours. We also don't have any reason to prove there's actually a cause for alarm”.
