"This is it," Nat says as she helps you smooth out your wedding dress. "Cold feet?" She asks and you shake your head with a smile. "That's good."
"Ready?" Tony asks you as he bends his arm for you to take, but just as you're about to, you have a panic attack. "Natasha, get Bucky," Tony says as he helps you sit down and Nat runs out of the room.
She finds Bucky sitting next to Sam in the aisles and pulls him away. "What's going on?" He asks.
"She's having a panic attack," Nat says and Bucky starts to run with her to the room your in.
"Hey doll," Bucky says as he approaches you and sits next to you. Tony and Natasha stand over by the door to give the two of you some space. "You're okay," he says as he takes your hand and places it on his chest, over his heart.
"Just take deep breaths for me, doll," he says and you nod your head as you inhale deeply before exhaling and letting it all go. "That's it, good girl," he says with a smile and you blush slightly.
"All better, yeah?" He asks and you nod slightly.
So he helps you stand up and hugs you. You smile against him while he has a broken expression on his face, knowing he'll never be able to hold you like this, in his arms in a way that's more than friends. If only he wasn't such a wimp and could tell you how he feels.
But how could he when you're standing in front of him getting ready to marry another man. So instead, he just holds you for as long as he can before you leave him forever.
He pulls away and kisses your forehead softly before he looks at you. "You look beautiful," he says and you blush as you look down at your feet before looking up at him.
"Thanks, you look beautiful too," you say and he chuckles softly.
"You are you ready now?" Tony asks and you nod as you look at him.
"I'm gonna go see if Sam saved my seat or not," Bucky says.
"Thank you for helping me," you say. He smiles softly as he leans in and kisses your cheeks. "Anytime doll." And with those words, he leaves the room with Tony giving him a small pat on his back and he leaves.
Thankfully, Sam saved his seat, so he sits down and rubs his face with hands. Sam shakes his head as he pats Bucky's back softly.
"What was that all about?" He asks and Bucky looks at him.
"She was having a panic attack so they came to get me to help calm her down," Bucky says and Sam nods his head in agreement. Bucky puts his face in his hands and lets out a sigh as he rubs his face again before looking up at the sky.
"You okay, Buck?" Steve asks on the other side of him and he just nods his head. "Yea I'll be okay," he says as his leg start to anxiously bounce up and down.
"You could always object," Sam says as he bounces his eyebrows at Bucky who rolls his eyes. "No I'm not gonna do that," Bucky says.
"Why not? I think it's a great idea," Sam defends as he looks at Steve who just shrugs his shoulder.
"I'm not gonna make a scene at her wedding, or make a fool out of myself," Bucky says and Sam puts his hands up in defense.
"I'm just sayin' it's not that bad of an idea," Sam says and Bucky rolls his eyes.
"Yes I love her and yes I wanna be with her, but that's not gonna happen cause she loves him and she's marrying him. I'll always love her, no matter what, I'm gonna spend every second of my life loving her. She'll always be my doll, I just wish... I just wish she felt the same about me," he says and Sam looks at Steve who's looking at Bucky with sympathy.
He turns to look at the alter and a wicked smirk stretches across his face just as the music starts playing. The bridesmaids walks down the aisle, Wanda and Nat looking absolutely flawless.
Then everyone stands as you start to descend down the aisle with Tony by your side and your arm looped through his. Bucky smiles with sadness and he blinks back tears just as you look at him. He fakes a happy smile and you smile back as you continue to look at him while walking.
It's not until you pass his aisle that you look up at your fiancé. He smiles and you give him a small smile back as he walks up to take you from Tony.
Tony smiles as he kisses your cheek and hands you off to your fiancé. Scott, who wanted to officiate, let's everyone know that they can be seated.
He goes through his lines with a huge grin on his face which makes you smile. Happy Scott always makes everyone else happy.
"Now is the time where you speak now, or forever hold your peace," Scott says to everyone else and you look out, secretly hoping someone might object.
But no one says anything, so you turn your attention back to Scott. "Moving on—"
"I LOVE YOU, Y/N!" Sam yells as he stands up and everyone gasps while Steve and Bucky look at him with a puzzled expression.
"I wanna be with you, and I'll always love you no matter what. I'm gonna spend every second of my life loving you. You will always... always... be my doll," he says and you gasp slightly as you look at Bucky.
He glaring at Sam with an amount of rage you've only seen from him a few times. Sam looks at Bucky before looking back at you. "That's what Bucky wants to say to you. That's what he's always wanted to say to you," he says.
He grabs Bucky's arm and forces him to stand while he sits down. "Thanks for making me look like a pussy," Bucky says.
"Anytime," Sam says as he pats his back.
Bucky looks at you and awkwardly shrugs his shoulders which makes you laugh slightly.
"It's true... everything Sam said... it's all true. I love you, more than anything else in this whole world. I don't regret my feelings for you, I just regret not saying something sooner," he says and you frown slightly before a smile starts to take place on your lips and Bucky's heart fills with hope.
A soft tug in your arm causes you to look and see that Scott is pulling you aside. "When I give you the signal, you run to him," he says with a wink.
"What's the signal going to be?" You ask.
"Trust me, you'll know," he says and you smile.
"Thank you Scott," you say before turning to look at Bucky.
Scott makes his way over to your fiancé. "OH MY HEART! OWIE!" He shouts as he grabs onto him and falls to the ground.
Everyone stands to walk towards Scott while you run to Bucky and grab his hand before running out of the building. He laughs as he does a little victory hope before he picks you up and spins in a circle. You laugh as he sets you back on the ground and kisses you.
"I love you," you say and he smiles brightly before picking you up again. "I love you so much, doll."
