This is where we get our scores between zero and twelve. Nobody has ever gotten a zero or a twelve. It takes about five hours before it's my turn to go. I get up but Peeta grabs my wrist.
"Shoot straight," he says.
I nod.
He let's go and I go into the room. All of the Game Makers are talking.
"Katniss Everdeen, District 12," I say.
They stop talking and look at me. I grab a bow and arrow, aim at a target, release and I miss the center by a long shot. I hear the Game Makers laugh.
I try again, it hits the center, I look at the Game Makers and they're not watching. Seneca Crane, Head Game Maker, gasps when a roasted pig comes in with an apple in it's mouth. I aim an arrow at the apple, release and it hits the apple. The Game Makers stare at me.
"Thank you for your consideration," I say, taking a bow.

Cato got a ten.
Clove got a ten.
Rue got a seven.
Peeta got an eight.
I got an... eleven?!?
The highest score in the 74th Hunger Games! Tonight are the interviews, tomorrow is free day and the day after that, the Games begin.
