Ms. Weems leaves the room. I close my eyes to go back to sleep until I hear a knock on my door. "Come in" I say loud enough so they can hear me. "Oh hi Ms. Thornhill, what are you doing here" I say smiling at her. "I just came to check in, how are you?" She asks. I nod. "I'm pretty good considering these huge scratches" I say looking down at my body. "I'm sorry this happened to you" she says with a distant look. Why would she be sorry? She wasn't the one that did this. "No miss you don't need to be sorry, I'll give that monster matching scars the next time I see it" I say with an angered expression. I turn to her and smile. She nods, standing up and making her way out of the room.

Timeskip

It's that Poe cup thingy. I walk around before heading over to the area they were having the race to see Enid and Wednesday walking around. Enid looks a bit stressed while Wednesday looks the same as always with just a little bit of urgency in her eyes. From what I heard Enid is taking part in the race.

"Enid? Are you okay? You look a bit panicked" I ask walking up to her and Wednesday. "No I am not okay! The race is today and the last member had an emergency and couldn't make it!" She says shaking my shoulders. I push her arm away gently and raise my eyebrows at her. She looks at me questioning why I did that. I lift up my sleeve to reveal the first scratch I got from the monster. "Oh, sorry!" She says going in for a hug. I stop her. "No offense but I feel like your gonna squeeze the wounds back open" I say crossing my arms.

"Help us" I hear Wednesday say from behind Enid. What? Does she not remember that I have three huge claw marks on my body? "I mean I would-" I say before getting cut off. "Perfect, let's go" she says turning around and walking away. I have a feeling she did that on purpose. "But my wounds?" I say stopping her. "This is a race not a fight and besides, we can just keep you on the boat where your wounds won't open" she says. Good point but still, I heard there are no rules so what if someone does something to sabotage the boat and my wounds open. I could get hurt, but I guess it's fine. "Okay one, I'm in and two, why are you doing this? You don't strike to me as the type to take part in races" I ask her. She sighs. "I want to watch the undying despair on Bianca's face when we come back in victory" she says. I too, would love to see that. I also need to talk to her about yesterday, you know when they kidnapped me.

"Alright let's go get dressed!" Enid says. "What?" Both me and Wednesday asks. She grabs both of our arms to drag us to these tents, on the inside are these costumes? I was told nothing about dressing up. "What is this?" Wednesday asks looking disgustingly at the costumes. Ain't no way I'm wearing this...

A few minutes later

I walk out the tent in defeat. I look down in embarrassment. This damn suit looks weird on me. I look to see Wednesday in the costume which makes me feel a bit better. I giggle looking at her. She glares at me. "Speak of this excruciating moment and I will kill you" she threatens. Ok ok I get it, she's scary. "Okay let's go to the boat now" Enid says walking to us. She looks at Wednesday for a little bit and raises her eyebrows. "Where's your whiskers?" She asks. I giggle and walk away before Wednesday can say anything to me.

I turn around and I bump into someone. Just my luck isn't it? "Y/n" I hear an all too familiar voice say. I put an angered look on my face and look up to see, a clown? I look a bit closer and realize that it's Ajax, both because his face and the beanie. I go to walk around him until I feel his hand grab my hand. "Wait Y/n we need to talk" he says. We did already didn't we? "There's needs. Then there's wants. Unfortunately for you I'm the type to put my wants before my needs" I say looking up to him with a glare. "Ok then, I want to talk to you" he says. "Oh yeah? Well I don't" I say walking away. This time he doesn't stop me.
