- time skip -
"Whatever happened to your family?" Jessie questioned Lucas
Lucas hesitated " When this all happened- my parents were already dead. I uh lived with my grandparents. When they heard of the outbreak they panicked and barricaded us in. That only protected us a few hours before the walkers made it in"
"Were they-"
"Yeah, they were eaten. My older sister uh hid me up in the attic with a bat and tried fighting the rest off but she was also eaten. I stayed up there for an entire week until Glenn came along"
"I'm so sorry"
"What about you? How come it's only your dad"
" My mom was never around. As soon as I was born she walked out and it's just been me and my daddy ever since. When this all happened Shane took me along with Lori and Carl"
"So you and carl been friends for a while?"
"I wouldn't call us friends. Just forced to speak because our fathers were best friends"Jessie shrugged
Lucas sat with Lori helping her with the leftover laundry
"This stuff is so boring" Lucas complained
"I know but if we don't want to wear the same old clothes it needs to be done"
Lucas watched Maggie and Glenn return with Lori's stuff
"Come on in here" Lori whispered
"Why? nothing to hide. We got your special delivery right here. We got your lotion, got your conditioner. Your 'soap opera digest'"
"Maggie"
"Next time you want something get it yourself. We're not your errand boys"
"Honey I-"
"And here's your abortion pills!" Maggie shouted
"abortion pills?" Lucas whispered to himself
Maggie stormed off with Glenn following closely. Lucas looked up at Lori
"You're having a baby?"
"Lucas, please. Don't"
"um, Guys...so. The barns full of walkers" Glenn announced
Everyone rushed over to the barn
You cannot tell me you're alright with this?" Shane questioned rick
"No, Im not. but we're guests here. This isn't our land"
"We've either got to go in there, we've gotta make things right or we've just got to go,"Shane explained
"We can't go"
"Why Rick? Why?"
" Because my daughter is still out there" Carol cried
"Okay, I think it's time we all start to just consider the other possibility"
" Shane we're not leaving Sophia behind." Rick began " If it was Jessie you'd want us to keep looking wouldn't you?"
Shane shook his head "No. I'd be realistic and let her go"
"Okay wow" Jessie gasped
"Im close to finding this girl. I just found her damn doll two days ago" Daryl argued
"You found a doll, Daryl. That's what you did. You found a doll"
" That's more than you've done Shane" Lucas defended
" Hey Lucas " Glenn pulled him back
Daryl and Shane began to argue before turning physical causing rick to intervene.
"I'm not leaving until we find Sophia"
" I don't want to be like my dad but he's right... the chances" Jessie began
"No. Stop. We are going to find her alive" Carl cut her off

"Dad stop. You cant open the barn. You can't kill them!"
"Whose side are you on?" Shane questioned
Shane handed Jessie a gun " Now take this and get ready to shoot them"
" No. Im not going to. You're crazy" She said tossing the gun to the ground
" Alright then," Shane said heading over to carl" Now I want you to take this. Go on take the gun"
Lori intervened " Rick said no guns. This is not your call. This is not your decision to make"
"Oh shit" T-Dog called making they all turn to see Jimmy, Rick, and Hershel return with walkers
Shane pulled out his gun and shot the walker Hershel was holding onto
" No dad stop!" Jessie shouted
"That's three rounds in the chest. Could someone whos alive, could they just take that?! Why is it still coming" Shane yelled as he shot it again "That's its heart? Its lungs. Why is it still coming?"
"Shane enough" Rick shouted
" Yeah you're right man that is enough" Shane agreed as he got closer and shot it in the head
Everyone stood in absolute shock
"Enough risking our lives for a little girl whos GONE!" Shane shouted "Enough living next to a barn full of things trying to kill us!" "Enough. Rick, it ain't like it was before!"Now if yall wanna live, if you want to survive, you gotta fight for it. Im talking about fighting right here, right now"
Jessie couldn't recognize her father. She had never been this afraid of him in her life
Shane ran towards the barn and began to open it
"Shane do not do this!"
"Dad stop!" Jessie shouted getting closer to Shane
Shane pushed her to the ground before getting the barn open and releasing all the walkers
Lucas ran forward helping Jessie up and pulling her back away from the barn
Glenn, Daryl, T-Dog, Andrea, and Shane shot all the walkers coming out of the barn.
Lori hugged Carl and Lucas under her as Jessie stood beside her in horror.
They were all dead. They all stood in silence hearing the cries of the Greene family. Suddenly they saw her. It was Sophia. She was a walker.
"Oh, God!" Carol cried as she ran towards her "Sophia?Sophia!"
Daryl had to stop her
" Oh, Sophia... Sophia" she cried
Lori gasped as she hugged a crying Carl and Lucas tightly.
Jessie watched as Sophia slowly came closer and closer. She knew she was dead, from the moment they couldn't find her. Yet she cried seeing her in that state.
"Don't watch"Lori told the kids
Rick got closer and shot Sophia. Lucas and carl kept their eyes closed but Jessie watched until the moment Sophia was down on the ground.
