One Of A Kind (Ajax x M! Reader)

When they walk out the room ms. Weems turns to me and my roommate. "Ajax will you show Y/n to the registrars office to pick up his uniform and along the way will you give him a tour of the school" she says sweetly. He nods. "Alright let's go" he says walking out the dorm. When we walk out the dorm he turns to me for a second and looks at my shoulders. What a fucking weirdo. I lift my eyebrows at him. "Yes?" I say snapping him out. "Why do you have a cape on?" He asks in curiosity. Oh yeah sometimes I forget I have wings because I barely get the chance to use them. "I can't tell, it's a secret" I say putting my finger over my lips like a little kid.

(For those of you wondering how you hide the wings under the cape and why it doesn't stick out then he doesn't just cover it up, he wraps it from his back and then crosses it over his shoulder so that the tip of his wings meet at his back)
I know it doesn't make sense but this is as good as I can describe it 😭

"This schools four main groups are fangs, furs, scales, and stoners" Ajax says. Stoners? Like drugs? I raise my eyebrows. "The fangs are vampires some have literally been here for decades, furs are the werewolves it's gets really loud on full moons and at night, scales are the sirens, and that girl in the middle is Bianca Barclay she is basically royalty here but her title slipped a little after she broke up with Xavier" he says. "Ugh it's gonna be a year to remember" I whisper looking over at this 'Bianca'. "Yeah but anyways the stoners are gorgons, like me" he says pointing at himself. So that's why he wears a beanie, should've known.
"What are you?" He says totally crashing my thought train. "Huh?" I ask, I mean I heard him I just don't know what to say. "Are you a fang? Fur? Scale? Stoner? What are you?" He asks. Yeah no would love to tell but I can't. "Classified" I said simply. "Oh" he says awkwardly.

He looks off somewhere and his eyes lit up. "Just the person I was looking for" he says and walks off, me following because he still needs to show me to the registrars office. Probably should've gone there first.

"Hey Enid, you would never believe the dirt I got on your new roommate" he says to this girl with a unique hair color. The girl looks at him with wide eyes trying to signal something to him, he doesn't notice. "I heard that she eats human flesh, totally chowed down on that kid she murdered you better watch your back" he says. "Quite the contrary I actually fillet the bodies of my victims and feed them to my menagerie pets" she says with a monotone voice

(I don't know the show word for word but you get the idea of it)

     Enid gives him a look and moves back a bit. Ajax looks completely shocked, jaw dropped and eyes wide. "Ajax this is my new roommate Wednesday" Enid tells him.

Dumbass.
     Should've payed attention to his surroundings, i mean yeah I didn't see her either but I wasn't the one talking shit. I giggle a bit. Enid and the other girl looks behind Ajax to see me standing there covering my mouth from my little outburst. "Who's that? I've never seen him around the school before" Enid asks. "Oh yeah this is my new roommate, Y/n" Ajax says looking back at me. I bet he forgot I was even here. Enid looks at my body seemingly checking me out. Then she looks up to my face in confusion. "Where's your uniform?" She asks. Oh yeah I forgot for a second, my bad. "Yeah I was supposed to get it but I have no clue where the registrars office is" I say shrugging. Enid looks at Ajax "you didn't take him to get his uniform?" She asks him. His face goes red in embarrassment. "No, I forgot" he says rubbing the back of his head.

     Me and Ajax walk away from the two girls and head to the registrars office. "Sorry, i kinda forgot about that" he says. Honestly tho. "Yeah caught onto it pretty fast" I say giggling a bit.

     We get to the registrars office and I pick up my uniform, not really my style but it's not that bad. I frown. "What? You don't like it? It's not that bad" Ajax said from beside me. "Yeah it isn't bad but not really my style" I say in dissatisfaction. Oh yeah I have to go back to the office now to talk about the cape and stuff. I turn to walk out the door when I'm stopped by a voice. "I'll see you around then" I turn to Ajax and nod then walk out.

Just an fyi for the cape it ties around your neck and stuff like usual but the back is more wide and spread out to hide the part where your wings pop out of your body, and for the front it's not that covered up but the pattern on the cape looks like your wings only the top part tho

Timeskip

     I open the door to the headmasters office. Ms. Weems is sitting in her chair with papers on her desk. "Y/n, what are you doing here?" Ms Weems asks with a smile. "Yeah it's about the uniform" I say. "Do you not like it?" She asks in confusion. "No it's fine, I just have a special request" I say. She nods her head gesturing to go on. "I need my cape on and for there to be a few adjustments so it's comfortable" I say holding out the uniform. "What may these changes be and why is it so important" she asks standing up and walking to the front of her desk. Curious is she? It's okay though she will be the only one to know. A school full of outcasts, a school to protect us. It's fine to tell her.

     I move my hand to take off the cape. I take it off and my wings start to unfold from their position and they spread out. I flap them a bit to stretch them out. I look back to see her in complete shock. "A dark fey" she whispers, but I could still hear her. How did she know what a dark fey is? There are only a few left in this world. At least I think so I really have no idea. I look at her in suspicion. My uncle told me to be careful, and to be honest this first choice and reaction is questionable.

     "You can change the uniform a bit to suite you better, as for your secret you can trust that I won't tell anybody" she says nodding her head. That's a relief but what was that feeling I had earlier? It didn't feel nice. I grab a pair of scissors and cut holes in the uniform so my wings can go through. I put on the shirt and button it all the way up and put my wings back to how they were before I took off the cape, and put the cape back on. As for the pants, I don't really like it but it's okay because it doesn't really matter right now. I'll dig for details later but for now I guess it's fine to do my thing. "I'm gonna go now ms. Weems" I say walking out before she says anything.

Walking back to my dorm I bump into someone. "Hey watch where your-" a voice says.

"Look who we have here, the new boy" a siren says, Bianca Barclay to be exact. I was gonna go explore this place but I guess it can wait a bit. "I guess your looking the right place then" I sigh. She gives me this look that says 'stfu or things will get nasty'. Such a short ass temper. "Girly I don't even know why your mad you started it" I say raising my eyebrows. "No, you jumped into me" she says with very much sass in her tone. "I mean I was gonna say sorry but your nasty ass mouth open first" I roll my eyes. "You better watch how you talk to me or trust me things will get messy" she threatens. "Messy? Like your relationship with that boy that was by the paintings?" I say in curiosity. I know, that's fucked up but this bitch had it coming and plus it's true. At this point she was beyond mad. She reaches towards her necklace but before she can even touch it I grab her hand. "Hey, play fair now I'm gonna go now and we're gonna act like this didn't happen okay hunny? Okay" I say letting go of her hand and walking by. Great, enemies made on the first day. Sucks, but this year will be fun I guess.

Timeskip

I open the door to my empty dorm and go to my side of the room. I grab some stuff that I might need like a lighter, a pack of matches just incase and whistle. Why the whistle? Just incase any danger. Now you may be wondering why there would be any danger on the school campus but being honest right now I'm not exploring the school. I wanna explore the woods and maybe see that monster everyones been 'gossiping' about. I'm not really a fan of gossip, yeah I lied just as long as it isn't about me then I'm all in for it. The whistle I bring with me doesn't make any noise for any human to hear it's more like a call. It releases small noises that go through the wind, just incase I can't handle myself I'll whistle to annoy the shit out of that monster. It'll be annoying for me too but I'm the one making the whistle so I won't mind the sound. I mean I wouldn't need it if I wasn't gonna go at all and yeah that's a stupid idea 'yeah Y/n go after the monster that has lately been killing everybody off' but hey, I'm as stupid as stupid can get. To an extent.
