WHEN I'M WITH YOU: PART 5

"Why are you looking at me like that?" my mother asked, bringing me back to the moment.
"Like what?" I said bluntly.
"Like that, that evil stare" she said watching me nervously.
"Nothing mum" I shrugged and started to walk towards the front door, I then stopped and turned around. "Sometimes the truth hurts mum, but if you keep it locked down and cover it with lies, when it becomes uncovered, it will destroy everything." My mum gave me an extremely suprised look, I smiled fakely at her then walked out the door. Kai's house was about twently minutes away and it was actaully freezing outside, I kinda wish I wore a t-shirt underneath my hoodie and my jeans weren't ripped letting the breeze get to my legs but it was too late now.

I took a short cut through the woods that me and Kai went to the second time we had sex, it was kind of our first time out together. "Well well well!" a cold voice said behind me, "If it isn't Eddie Stroud, what you doing all on your own faggot?" I spun round to face Barry Goodman, a guy who had threatened me the first day of school. I didn't say anything, I wasn't at all afraid of him, but obviously him being atleast 6'2 and extremely overweight meant he could do me serious damage. I watched about four of his friends come out from behind the trees and stop infront of me. "Oi you stupid ugly fag, I fucking asked you something!" he said, getting right up close to me. "Maybe I don't wanna fucking answer you!" I said back folding my arms and trying to stand as tall as I could.

Barry let out a nasty cackle "School is one thing, but getting rude to me when nobody else is around, you must be fucking stupid!" he screamed in my face. I turned round, I wasn't going to let this guy abuse me, I was nearly out of the woods anyway and once there were people around he couldn't exactly attack me. But as I turned around I felt two large hands shove into my back so that I face planted into the muddy ground. One of his friends then kicked me over so I was lying staring up at them. Barry sat on my stomach and wrapped his hands tightly around my neck, "Your not going anywhere until you learn to respect me" he whispered. "What have you done to earn my fucking respect!" I spat, but I could hardly breath. Barry and his friends laughed, "So rude" he smiled, but then the smile faded and I was greeted by a fist in my mouth.

Barry backed off and I could taste blood on my tongue. All of a sudden I felt hard shoes in my stomach and ribs, slamming into me over and over again as they all kicked me. I felt a fist in my eye a few times but by the time that happened I wasn't paying attention to who it was. Pain shot through my body like a thousand electric bolts as I squirmed about on the floor, I knew purple bruises would be everywhere and I didn't know how much more I could take. Then it all stopped. I still had my eyes closed, I didn't know what was happening, but what more could they do me? Then I felt a cold sharp pain on my legs, my eyes snapped open and I looked down to where Barry was dragging a knife round my ankles which were bleeding like mad.

He came up and grabbed my wrists and dragged the knife across, I shut my eyes tight as he got to the large vien we all have straight down the middle. But he skipped past it and kept on cutting until both my wrists were bleeding. Holding the knife to my throat Barry leaned in so close I thought he was going to kiss me, "It's going to get so much fucking worse than this I swear to you!" he hissed. Then he leaned down close to my lips, I was completely grossed out, but obviously he wasn't going to kiss me, no, he bit my lip. Hard. Making it split open and leak blood all over my chin. They then got up and ran away quickly, leaving me here to bleed. I wanted to die right there, but slowly I pulled myself up into a standing position.

I made my way out the woods and back onto a street which was round the corner from Kai's. I was bruised, bleeding and covered in mud, a few people gasped when I stumbled past them, I caught a glimps of myself in a car window, I looked like a zombie roaming the streets. When I got to Kai's house I fell against the door creating a loud thud, he would of heard it, and I didn't have the strength to knock. I sunk down on his doorstep and lay there waiting for him to save me. About a minute later the door opened, "Eddie oh my god!" I heard Kai burst into tears, I felt awful, I didn't want him to feel sad. "I'm sorry, I should never have come" I sobbed. How stupid of me to turn up at his house like this.
