"Maybe you just..." Marker set his dirt down. Turning around, he grabbed Lightning's sides and stuck him in the dirt by his point. He smiled. "There we go!"
"Oh! That works," Lightning smiled. "Thanks, Marker!" Marker smiled, sending him a thumbs up before picking up his dirt again.
"Why are you so interested in dirt anyway?" Tree asked, curious.
He just smiled. "I like to play games with my friends. My favorite one includes dirt!"
"Games?" Remote asked, pushing themselves up to sit. "I love games. What's wrong?"
"Huh?" Tree blinked, confused.
"Nevermind," they said. "We should play Rock Paper scissors."
"I'm not very good at that one," Marker huffed.
"Oh, can I join?" Lightning asked, smiling.
"Well, Rock Paper Scissors is usually a two-player game... But we can modify it," Remote quickly said, noticing Lightning's upset expression. He then smiled again.
"Great! Let's play," he beamed, holding his hand out.
Tree watched the trio, humming to himself. They played a lot of rounds over time with Marker somehow making an obscure shape with his hand every time. Lightning and Remote were confused but they kept playing out of amusement to see what would be next. Admittedly, he missed the old members of his team but the new students have been great as well. He enjoyed their company- even Fanny's. Tree smiled to himself, looking at Black Hole who was in the ground beside him. Even if they weren't talking, it was nice to have their company too.
"Hah, that's my 19th win," Remote smirked triumphantly. "If you discount Marker's plays."
"I have no idea if he even won or not..." Lightning laughed.
Marker just smiled. "I'm a winner in my heart!"
"Still won, though," Remote smiled happily.
"Guys!" Fanny exclaimed, suddenly interrupting their game of Rock Paper Scissors. Using her tail, she pointed to the algebralien heading their way. "Two appears to be heading our way!"
"Hello, Team Death P.A.C.T. again!" Two greeted with a wave. "Terribly sorry about this whole situation-"
"I hate this whole situation!" Fanny supplied helpfully.
"...But don't fret because we're gonna figure this out," they smiled. "So I wanted to ask some questions!"
"What are the questions?" Black Hole asked.
"What were you guys doing before you fell asleep? And did you spot anything out of the ordinary?" they asked.
"I was just hanging around space," Black Hole said. "When I flew back down, I saw everyone here. So..."
"I was mourning the loss of my batteries," Remote frowned. "Oh, and I was in my room."
"I was in my room writing a letter!" Fanny exclaimed.
"You can write?" Remote asked curiously.
"My tail can pick up smaller objects! Like a pencil!" Fanny said, beating its tail against the ground.
"Cool," Remote smiled.
"I was in my room! I saw Lightning flying outside the window, though... He doesn't usually fly," Marker said, putting his hand under his mouth where his chin would be.
"That's cause I was actually flying around before I went to bed," Lightning said. "So I can remember to do it! It's not anything weird. Besides, the sky looks nice at night! Apparently, it's supposed to be dark out too, but I can't see it..."
