Being a stylist to BTS doesn't allow much time for romance and relationships. In the 10 years Sunhi has worked with BTS, including as an apprentice pre-debut, she has had 5 failed relationships.
She doesn't blame the men or her job for the failed relationships, even if that's the reason she gets given by the people who leave her. She had the job before starting the relationships, so they knew about the demand of it.
For Sunhi, she is alone in the world. Her parents were only children who only had her, her grandparents are all dead. So the failed relationships make her feel unwanted and unloved, and incredibly lonely.
Most of the time, she finds solace in the company of people at work, but on occasion it doesn't feel like enough. Times like Christmas, where people go to spend time with their families, she has no one.

As she listens to everyone discussing their plans while doing their idols makeup, she smiles weakly, trying to ignore the dull ache in her heart. She has no partner, no family of her own, no family to visit.
She remembers what her last partner told her, as he broke up with her on her birthday. 'You have no room for me in your heart! You're already married to BTS and your job! You never do anything with me, or talk about anything else. Why don't you just marry Jungkook!'
Jungkook watches Sunhi, admiring her features. He was so happy when Bang Sihyuk let him chose her as his primary stylist, because he loves hearing her voice as she talks, hums, and sings while she works on his makeup.
Jungkook loves how she is outgoing and encourages him to be as well. He loves how she is always first in, eager to be at work where he is, and the last out so she makes sure everyone finishes their work for the day.

Jungkook loves her for everything she does for everyone, and for how sweet and kind she is as a person. So seeing the weak smile on her face, makes him worry for her. He asks her quietly, "Are you ok Sunhi?"
She hums at him but he can see it's a lie. Namjoon's stylist, Ailee, involves Sunhi in the conversation. Ailee asks her excitedly, "Sunhi, what are your Christmas plans? Are you visiting your parents again?"
Sunhi looks hurts for a moment, and Jungkook remembers the moment he found her crying in the bathrooms as she took the police call that her parents were pronounced dead on the scene at an RTC.
She answers, "I might visit them to say hello, but I will be spending Christmas doing something different this year. I am going to be working the kitchens at the refuge centre, to help those who can't afford a meal this Christmas."

Jungkook watches her features carefully, and asks quietly, "Do you want me to visit the grave with you?"
Sunhi shakes her head and smiles sweetly at him. She whispers delicately, "No, you should go see your family. You are working New Year, so see your family for christmas, before you miss the chance to see them."
Jungkook can see the pain in her eyes. He hears the plea and warning in her tone. He understands that she doesn't want him missing an opportunity to see family again, as it could be a last time.
Jungkook can also feel the lie in the way her hands tremor lightly. He stops her hands, and he asks her quietly, "What are your real plans for Christmas?"
She just smiles, fighting tears. She shakes his gentle hold and résumés touching up his makeup. She answers, "Probably visit the graves and then come here to tidy out my work space."

Jungkook jolts in shock and asks, sharp and loud, "What do you mean?! Why would you clean out your work space?!"
He is fearful of losing her. He is scared that if she quits, he will lose contact with the only woman he's ever loved outside of family. He's also scared of what she will do next, knowing she has no family.
The attention of the whole room fixates on them. Sunhi feels herself shrink away in shock. She hear Bang Sihyuk behind them, "Sunhi has quit, in favour of starting another new adventure."
Jungkook looks at her sadly, his emotions in turmoil. He asks, tearfully begging, "Why? Why would you leave us, leave me? I thought you love it here."
Sunhi shrinks away, she explains, "I can't do this anymore. I can't dedicate my life to BTS anymore. I have no life outside of this job and I can't take that anymore."
