186. Girls (2)

It was a situation where Korean fans could be sufficiently anxious.  It was because activities in Korea seemed to be put on the back burner and focus on overseas activities.  In fact, K.K's next schedule was to appear on American TV shows and concert tours abroad.

Overseas tour concerts have been held like annual events, but there are clear differences.  Previously, foreign tour countries were concentrated in Asian countries.

However, now, as well as India and Middle Eastern countries, five US cities including New York and Los Angeles, as well as South American countries such as Brazil, Chile and Mexico have been added to the overseas tour schedule.

Since their last appearance in <Michelle's Night>, small-scale performances in Sydney, Paris, and London were added, so it was like they had to go 'around the world'.

It was a great tour itinerary.  It wasn't just that the tour schedule was getting longer.  Not being able to see them often in Korea was obviously a pity as a Korean fan, but it was a proud thing that K.K became a global star.  However, concerns about their next album were also rampant among fans.

One Man, who had entered the Billboard charts for the first time, also focused all of their activities on the US and overseas markets after entering the Billboard charts.  At the same time, more than two-thirds of the lyrics of the album's title song were written in English.  It didn't completely lose the color of One Man's music, but it was close to a pop song, and it was a song that felt so conscious of the overseas market.

It was clear that the pressure was as high as the expectations were high.  it came out plainly.  One Man's achievement was great, but in the end songs were to be judged individually.  The Korean public was apathetic to One Man's new song.  It was only a few days when the public listened to the song in anticipation that it ranked first on the music charts.

Compared to the huge popularity of the previous song, it was a shabby result.  Just like in Korea, it didn't get very good grades overseas compared to the previous song.  It was a mistake by one man or those who planned one man's album.  It suddenly gained popularity overseas, and as a way to maintain that popularity, it tried to meet overseas demand, so it could not meet the demand in Korea or the overseas demand, which was enthusiastic about the newness of being 'Korean'.

Because of this case, fans had no choice but to worry that KK would lose popularity while trying to adapt their next album to the overseas market, feeling the pressure of having to live up to expectations.

Of course, there were far more fans who believed that KK would do well.  Nevertheless, the reason why posts keep coming up in the community is because there were some antis who promoted anxiety.

Certainly, the better it went, the more people wanted it to fail.  Because it was the moment when KK was about to rise beyond Korea and become a global star, more such people flocked to it.  Among them, there were many fans of Man to Man, who debuted with a difference of a few months and seemed to be doing better, but the trajectory changed before they knew it.  As Man to Man gained popularity again after the recruitment of Chae Eun-ho, it seemed to be following K-K closely.  Of course, it was not at the level of surpassing K.K.  KK was at the level of a giant wall.

Nevertheless, the fans of Man to Man, who didn't want to see the fact that their junior K.K did better than Man to Man, were somehow creating a stir thanks to the recent rise in popularity.

After the Billboard Music Awards ceremony, all six members took a picture holding a trophy in a large format.  It was to express gratitude to the fans who supported and celebrated this moment more than anyone else.
