JUNGKOOK POV

"You let go of my hand and I'm throwing you to the wolves."

I chuckled as I brought Jimin's hand up and pressed a kiss to it.

"I won't kitten, I promise
and they are gryphons."

"Not wolves."

He rolled his eyes.

"Whatever."

I grinned, loving this feisty
side of Jimin.

It would serve him well as my consort, He had to be strong
to survive in this world.

That was one of the things I loved about Jimin, He had the strength of a gryphons and
the cunning of a vampire.

The best of both worlds in
my opinion.

"Have I told you lately that
I love you?"

Jimin tripped and then turned
to look at me once he righted himself.

"You've never told me you
loved me."

"Oops." Jimin's eyes narrowed.

I grinned like a Cheshire cat.

"Don't expect to hear it from me." Jimin said out loud.

My smiled faltered.

"At least not in a room full of people." He smirked.

"Maybe when we're in bed tonight."

"But you're going to say it, right?"

"Maybe."

He pressed a kiss to my lips
then slipped away and started walking toward the large group walking in.

I heard a soft feminine
chuckle next to me and glanced down to see Ari standing next
to me, her arm entwined
with bella's.

"My son adores you."

"I see it in his eyes every
timehe looks at you."

I looked toward Jimin just in
time to see him toss his head back as he laughed at some
thing someone said to him.

His brown eyes twinkled as he glanced at me.

"He's mine, you know?" I whispered maybe to Jimin's mother, maybe to myself.

I just knew that it was the truth.

I never expected to find my
true mate let alone find him
in a club bathroom.

I certainly hadn't expected to go through all the ups and downs we'd experienced since we met.

And yet, through all of that, we had found something together that was special.

I'd already killed one person
that had tried to take that
from me.

I wouldn't hesitate to do it again.

Ari leaned up on her heels and pressed a kiss to my cheek.

"Thank you for that."

I frowned. "For what?"

"For that look on his face."

"My son is truly happy."

I hoped so.

I straightened when I spotted
the well-dressed man coming into the house in a group of men.

"Heads up." I murmured to Ari.

"Prince Kim is here."

I started toward the group of men but my jaw dropped when
I saw who else was with him.
