Taehyun took hesitant steps closer to the older male until he reached his side. He crouched down next to Yeonjun and shook his shoulder gently. "Yeonjun," he whispered softly and rubbed a hand across Yeonjun's arm. "Wake up, please," he said a little louder before shaking Yeonjun's body a bit, but it was enough for the elder boy to stir awake.

Yeonjun opened his eyes slowly and blinked, yawning as he looked around confusedly. He eventually turned his gaze to Taehyun who was looking at him with scared, but hopeful eyes.

"Taehyun?" Yeonjun asked confusedly, thinking it was just a dream.

Taehyun bit his lip nervously, staring directly at Yeonjun with his big round eyes, begging the older male to understand what was going on. "Yeonjun…" He breathed out again, not even sure what he was trying to say.

"What's wrong?" Yeonjun asked after noticing how distraught Taehyun was.

Taehyun shook his head and swallowed heavily, trying to figure out how to tell Yeonjun what was happening, "I - In my room...," he choked out quietly as tears formed in his eyes and threatened to overflow any second now.

"What?"

"It's scary..." Taehyun managed to say, though his voice still broke slightly.

"Why?" Yeonjun frowned, trying to wrap his head around what Taehyun was saying.

Taehyun took a shaky breath and tried to calm himself. Even though he knew he sounded like a scared child, he needed comfort right now. "S - Someone's th - there," he spoke shakily while trying to control his trembling voice.

The last two words barely even made it past his lips, but Yeonjun still managed to hear them clearly and frowned deeply immediately, "What do you mean?" He asked as calmly as he possibly could, although his heart started racing the same moment those words escaped his mouth. "Taehyun, did you see the nightmare?"

Tears glistened in the younger's eyes as he shook his head, his whole body shivering uncontrollably. "Please, don't let me be alone," he begged, almost whispering.

"Taehyun, I'm sure there's no one in your room," Yeonjun said tiredly, sitting upright and leaning against his elbow. "Do you want me to check it?"

Taehyun shook his head furiously, still looking at the older with misery in his watery green eyes. "No! Please, don't!" He begged, his voice cracking.

Yeonjun raised an eyebrow, not getting why the boy looked so scared like he had seen a ghost or something, "Then what do you want me to do?" He asked, wondering what could have possibly traumatized him this much.

Taehyun hesitated for a few seconds, his eyes still glued to the ground. Finally, he lifted his head up, so he was meeting Yeonjun's concerned, but tired gaze. "Just don't sleep and talk to me... please?" He said quickly, hoping that would be enough to pacify his hyung.

Yeonjun groaned and rubbed his eyes at his response, not feeling like staying awake when his eyes were starting to feel heavy. "Taehyun, you do realize that we both have lectures tomorrow, right?" He asked, trying to keep himself awake.

"Please?" Taehyun pleaded again. "I - I can't go back there...," he sniffled, not caring about the fact that the tears were finally spilling out and that he was letting his emotions run free.

Yeonjun's eyes softened at the sight of his tears and he sighed heavily. Even though he was thinking that Taehyun was being unreasonable, he couldn't leave him in that condition, especially since he had no clue what it was that frightened him so badly.

"What about you sleep next to me instead?" He offered which took the boy by surprise. He knew he had to try and think of something that might help him relax his nerves, so sleeping together was probably the best option he could give him at the moment.
