Knowing that Phobos was still working on the surprise Deimos was determined to keep an eye on the enemies in their fortress. Fittingly in that moment he got an alarm by the drone he told to watch the defensive structure.

Switching to the feed the drone sent him, he saw that the ant-like enemy mechanoid mostly seemed to have finished the building part. The structure seemed like a big metal egg, having a curved wall that was quite even, with an open top. Deimos was unable to see inside the egg, as the top was too high for a view from the point of view the drone could get to him relatively safely.

Deimos used that moment to look at the surrounding environment to maybe be able to formulate a plan that he could discuss with Phobos.

The egg was sitting in the middle of a small valley, with an slightly upwards tilted ground all around. It was like a small hill in the middle of the valley and as such being quite defensible if someone chose to attack the egg in a conventional melee way. Apparently their opponents were not used to more advanced technologies being used against them. If he and his brother were to just launch a few missiles they would probably be able to just destroy their hideout and subsequently win the fight.

Though sadly they weren't able to build some missiles with the resources they had currently access to. Deimos used that mental impulse to go through the checklist, what his current body looked like after the latest revision.

Deimos went the opposite way of his brother, Phobos. While Phobos was mainly focused on being the creator and inventor of their two man team, Deimos was their frontline fighter. A choice he made to keep the attention of his brother for as long as he needed so that Phobos could get whatever gadgets up and running he needed. His body was a tall bipedal mechanoid, a nearly five meters tall and three meters wide, heavily armoured creature. He had two arms that were able to shift partially to form different weapons he could use with a bit of time to prepare.

Speaking of time to prepare, Deimos nearly forgot to request from the drone the reason for the alarm, as he couldn't currently see any movement that should be able to trigger the drones movement sensor.

The drone quickly send over a short video showing the small, quadrupedal scouting mechanoid running over the ground in front of the egg to the edge of the valley.

Deimos used his internal map to try and plot a possible course and then nearly wanted to cuss. The scout was only a few degrees of  off the direction he himself was in. He needed to decide what to do, either he did his best to try and hide or prepare an ambush.
