Friends for a life time, together they were each other's lives and other half piece. There was no reason for them to ever leave each other or change with each other. They were almost inseparable childhood friends.
When Scott leaves to his family and leaves his close best friend Skylar for almost a year they are both obviously devastated—at the same time they are used to this goodbye since he almost left every summer to visit his family, but soon Skylar later realizes that this summer was very off and different when he returns.
Her best friend returns after almost a year but in her eyes she notices something in his eyes has changed. No one else notices his change but she has.
He is almost distant, and closed off towards her and the ones around him. She is determined to win her best friend back but that later makes a tole on her way when she discovers some feelings toward Scott. A feeling that maybe was there for a long time but now she was finally realizing it.
