The Sacrificial Drop (68 )

"Such a nice master bathroom with this house don't you think?"

"We'll take the house. Would you start the paperwork right away..." Shouta says with a cough as if to clear his throat.

A house made out of glass will surely shatter
So we built a fortress of red bricks and ladders
The ground it started shaking
The bombs are falling

You asked me how long I'd stay by your side

It was about six months ago that you and Shouta hit a rough patch. The pro hero had a close call. You two fought for days, then you packed your things up and left him. He thought you would never return but after a month apart and time to think clearly,you knew the only place right in the world was by his side even if it meant the hell of fear of him getting killed.. You had never seen tears in Shouta's eyes but that day when you returned, lightly knocking on the front door, you saw them clearly and how much this man loved you.

"I will never leave your side again Aizawa Shouta..."you promise him.

"I know and I love you more than anything." he whispers back. "Lets think about getting married?"

So I answered with only just one reply

A series of loud explosions grabs both of your attention. You see dust rise as a large plump into the night sky. You both say in unison, "Shit!" The time has arrived to be heroes and help fight villains to save the people of the city.

"Ready Baby or should I say future Mrs. Aizawa?" Shouta smiles.

"I'm always ready when it cums to you Shou..." you smile quickly.

The two of you refocus on the task at hand. Eraserhead places his arms around you and you both drop to the ground. You have a form of controlled gravity as long as you don't overuse it and you have to be touching the person. The race is on to stop what appears to be a villain with an earth quirk that makes the ground unstable but currently unknown strength. Eraserhead rushes ahead to erase the quark as you put in for backup. The underground hero will restrain the villain and you can touch the villain to levitate so he can no longer touch the ground to use his quirk.

You come up to see your finance battling, the not a villain but a Nomu with such strength it can do a ground shock wave around it. Eraser is going to lose in time so you rush in to touch the Nomu. One second you reach for the creature and the next you feel your body hit a cement ledge from a building, barely standing over a giant hole in the ground. There is fire and smoke everywhere. Pain rips through your right arm and you see Shouta's scarf coiled around it. He has pulled you from Nomu's grasp but he is dangling from the building by your arm...that is broken. You bite your lip but a scream from the pain comes out his full weight is on your arm.

"Baby! Y/N! Talk to me..."

"It's n...n...nothing...my arm and I think m...my shoulder is broken..." you try not to sound scared and in so much pain.

"Take deep breaths, I will get up out of this Y/N." Shouta replies calmly.

The pro hero looks around him to see he is indeed hanging from you and there is no other place to attach his capture weapon to. The only way is for him to climb up the scarf, with your help and he hates that idea as you will be in horrible, mind blowing pain. His right arm is tangled in the scarf to make things worse.

You shift your pain racked body to look over the ledge to see that he has no way but for you to help pull him up. He looks up when his scarf moves and sees you crying but starting to wrap the scarf around your uninjured arm like cranking a cable up. You try to use your quirk but the pain is too much to focus and besides it might not lift his body by only touching his scarf. No...you have to fight the pain as now the bone in your lower arm has come through and pull, your future husband up by physical strength alone.

Then both of you feel it. The burning and unstable building shifting under you. Your body slides to the edge and you can see Shouta looking up at you with fear for you in his eyes. Another shifting of the building and he will pull you over with him. You know exactly what he's going to do as his left hand moves to his back. He is reaching for his knife to cut his scarf.

"Aizawa Shouta! Don't you dare! I can do this! I will pull you up in time!" you scream.

"Y/N I have two lives to think about and save. I got the call from Doctor Yuri that you missed. You're pregnant...so I have to keep you and our baby safe. I need you two to live so I need to go...

"NO! Shouta! Please! I can pull you up!" you scream with tears rolling down your face.

"If it's a girl can her name be Megumi? Besides you, she is a blessing...."

You shake your head frantically, "I will, just hang on and I will start reeling you up again..."

Your eyes go large as you see his left arm reach up and start to cut the scarf. He looks up just before the last cut "Y/N I love you so much I will search for you even if it takes me ten thousand lifetimes. I will find you again babe. Good bye my soul mate..."

Even with all the noise going on around you, the sound the scarf mades, on the last cut will haunt you for the rest of your life. "SHOUTA AIZAWA! I LOVE YOU! I"M GOING TO HOLD TO YOUR WORD! I TOO WILL NOT STOP SEARCHING FOR YOU EVEN IF ITS TEN THOUSAND LIFETIMES! YOU COME BACK TO ME!"

Then Shouta is gone, his broken body somewhere in the rubble below you. You move to put your back to the crumbling wall and wait to see what happens. You may not survive either and it slowly sinks in that you have a baby growing in you...Shouta's baby. You have to live...he gave his life. You measure how much of his scarf you have. You rise on shaky legs and begin to use your quirk and his scarf to get to a safer spot. The pro hero Hawks sees you and quicks grabs you as the building shudders. You cling on to Shouta's ragged scarf as the sound of wings is the only sound you can hear in your ears.

Paramedics are rushing to get fluids and prep you for an ambulance ride. Hizashi is at your side. "Where's Shouta? Y/N! Where's Shouta?"

You choke out with tears, "He's gone Zashi...he sacrificed himself for us..."

Hizashi has tears in his eyes, "Us?"

"The baby and I...I'm pregnant." you whisper as the world spins and goes black.
