"Bye Ms. Kato!" A few other students waved at her, and she heard the whispers amongst each other as she left.

She hid her face in Eri's hair as she made the dreaded walk back to their home.

The pro-hero stared down at the empty dishes that once held a wonderful breakfast. He sat there for a few minutes, just staring at the crumbs and drops of tea that remained. After the events last night, he expected to remain awake till the sun came up. But instead, he was out like a light as soon as his head hit the pillow.

He only awoke to the sound of Kazu rummaging through the kitchen, and he found himself standing by his door for nearly twenty minutes, contemplating if he should join her or not. However, right before he opened the door, his ears heard the closing of the front door and she was gone.

Usually, he would wait for her to come back before beginning to eat. But his stomach growled upon looking at the delicately placed breakfast for him. He knew it was for him, since the empty rice ball container now littered the counter.

Aizawa wasn't sure what to expect when facing the omega that lived with him. He hated the idea that he took advantage of her in an intoxicated state, and nearly cringed every time he thought about how she turned away from him.

The never ending pool of insecurities swirled in his belly upon thinking of what she may say or do. He had only ever been with one woman, and she had left him in the dust. Aizawa didn't know if he could go through something like that again, especially with someone like Kazu.

Someone like Kazu.

What was it about this damn omega that drew Aizawa in so much? Why did her scent call to him like a fucking siren, that boiled his blood into a sinful rage of lust and sexual desire. He wanted her. Bad. But her words rang through his mind like a fire engine.

Kazu did not want an alpha. She did not want him.

It was silly of him to think such a notion could work. That he'd get with the nanny and become a semi perfect family for Eri. This wasn't a sitcom, and it definitely wasn't a fairy tale.

Yet, why did every fiber in his body burn with intense urge to consume every inch of her body, mind, and soul? And most importantly, her heart.

Sighing deeply, Aizawa ran his hands through his hair before rubbing his eyes. Nearly jumping at the sound of the door unlocking, Aizawa's eyes shot up to watch Kazu walk in and place a sleepy Eri down on the ground. Without warning, a smile immediately lit up his features.

"Hey kiddo, did you have fun?"

Eri yawns once more before walking over to the table, kneeling to sit down in front of her plate. "I had lots of fun! We played board games, watched movies, and Kim-an-nar-ri? Showed me how electricity worked! He made my hair stand straight up!"

Aizawa's eyes narrowed at this new information, glancing at Kazu who frowned deeply. "Oh really? Well, I don't want you trying to do it on your own. It's not safe unless you have one of us around."

Eri nodded, nibbling on a rice ball. "Deku yelled at him, it was pretty funny."

Kazu snorts before sitting down beside her. "One time I touched an outlet by accident, and it shocked me pretty bad. Sometimes, I can still feel my fingers tingle," She wiggles her finger at the girl's nose. "So make sure you listen to Mr. Aizawa when he says to not mess with that kind of stuff."

Eri looked up at her with stuffed cheeks, her big eyes sparkling as she nodded eagerly. "Yes mom, I understand."

The whole room froze.

Both Kazu and Aizawa were stunned by the word that flew out of Eri's mouth. The room was filled with a defining silence that intensified the tension that had already been present. Eri hadn't noticed until she looked back up to see the two adult's shocked expressions. The rice ball fell out of her hands as she dipped her head into a low shameful bow. "I-I'm sorry! I d-d-didn't mea-an," she stuttered painfully and Kazu snapped back to reality.

On instinct, Kazu's hand lifted to place a comforting and relaxing hand over her shoulder. Her quirk sent calming waves through the small girl. "It's okay Eri. Just...I'm not your mother even if I do act like one."

Eri's lip began to tremble as she suddenly snapped her head up to her nanny. "But why can't you? You act like one, talk like one, and you and Mr. Zawa could get married and we can be a family! I can have a mommy and daddy who won't go away!"

Kazu felt the organ in her chest nearly crumble at the young girl's words. She didn't know much about Eri's past, but she knew the feeling of being abandoned at such a young age. She didn't know what to say. Of course she loved her as if she were her own, but the reality was the idea of her being a mom to Eri...was just impossible.

A clearing of a throat was Kazu's saving grace as both girls turned to see Aizawa. "Eri, why don't you finish up and go get ready for school. We can talk about this later," he tells her and the gray haired girl stood from her place before nearly darting to her room.

Kazu clenched her jaw at the awkwardness that now laid between her and the alpha. "I wasn't expecting that," she admitted, resting her face on her elbows.

Aizawa scratched the stumble of his chin nervously. "Did it... bother you?"

Kazu flashes her eyes toward the homeroom teacher. "What? Her calling me mom?"

He merely nodded.

Kazu sighs deeply, leaning back to grip her head in her hands. "Yes...and no? I don't know! I love her as if she were my daughter, but being a mom is a huge title that I'm not sure if I can fulfill. I mean, I've already let her down once. Not to mention how strange it would be for us–" She suddenly stops herself, her cheeks warming as memories of their time together flooded her mind like a dam breaking.

Aizawa turned towards her, giving her his full attention. "Look, I'm sorry about last night. I shouldn't have lost control like that. I don't want you to feel unsafe here, but I understand if you no longer feel comfortable living here."

Unsafe? Uncomfortable?

Feeling unsafe under Aizawa's roof was furthest from Kazu's mind. It wasn't that she was uncomfortable around him, she just had many conflicting feelings towards the situation.

"I'm not uncomfortable Shota, I just don't understand what I'm feeling," She explains and Aizawa's eyes widened.

His strained eyes twitched as his lips pursed. "Say that again," he said lowly, his eyes narrowing to her lips where he desperately wished to hear her voice once more.

She raised an eyebrow. "Shota?" She says again, and Aizawa's whole body stiffens. Before he could react, he was moving towards her, his hands coming up to palm her face as he stared intensely into her forest green eyes.

"What are you doing to me?" He says in a deep husky voice.

The way he looked at her told Kazu everything she needed to know. Mei's words rotated through her mind and Kazu decided to muster up enough courage to lean forward and press her lips against his. It was a soft touch, barely a kiss before they were suddenly springing away by the loud ringtone of Aizawa's phone.

He moved away from her quirky, annoyed growl vibrating through his throat as he pulled his phone out.

Kazu watched curiously as his face morphed from annoyance, to shock, to fear.

"I-I have to take this," he says in a hurried tone, before nearly springing up and dashing to his room.

Kazu looked on in confusion at his sudden actions, wondering who on earth could be calling him so early. Whoever it was, it must be important judging by his reaction.

A few minutes passed as Kazu cleaned the dishes and Eri emerged from her room in her school uniform. Aizawa still had not come out from his important phone call and Kazu decided that she would leave him for business. It may be hero related, and she hoped everyone was alright.

As she walked Eri to school, all she could think about was a certain alpha's lips pressed against hers.
