"ma i'm leaving !" xolani yelled closing her room door. she stood in the hall for a moment, putting her phone charger in the little purse she carried. "where you going" edot asked, peeking his head out his room to look at his sister. "out," lani walked into their mother's room, ignoring the look the woman gave her for walking in without knocking.
"xolani what have i told you about just walking in my room" xolani looked at her mother, gaia, "you don't have company so i know you not in here doin nothing." gaia looked at her daughter, "what do you want? i heard you say you was leaving, get out my room."
lani smiled, kissing her mother's cheek, "call you when i make it to yonkers." she walked out the room, closing the door behind herself. edot looked out his room door again, "be home by 11 or i'm forming a search party." xolani looked at her brother, he couldn't be talking to her, couldn't be. "nigga you not my daddy, tryna give me a bed time, whats wrong with you."
elijah mugged her, "i'm not joking lala—i'm not either" she said flicking him off and walking down the stairs. xolani opened the front, hearing all types of noise from outside before walking out and closing the front behind her.
