Rise (Ninjago Next Gen)

Chapter 1

"Citizens of Ninjago! Today is the Day of Departed! We honor those who protected this city a long time ago. As you've all heard, the water and green ninja have passed away a few days ago. We must honor the ninja who've protected this city a long time ago. Now, lift up your lanterns and let it fly away into heaven, where the ninja will see," The mayor of Ninjago said. The mayor had tears falling down his cheek, the mayor always looked up to the ninja ever since he was a kid, the battle happened when he was only 10 years old, which was 25 years ago.

~A few hours later~

The ceremony ended and the city became a ghost town, a nice quiet and peaceful place where no one was around. THUNK!! There was a huge sound coming from the sewers. It was a snake who's just came out of the sewers. A serpentine tribe you've never seen before, a cobra. "Listen up, we are going to collect all the metal in town to build a rocket!! We will finish what the Overlord could not! Long live the Overlord!!" Asparagus yelled. His whole tribe repeated what he said. Eventually, the cobras started to collect every single piece of metal they could find in town..

~At the monastery~

The lights of the monastery were turned off. Everyone was sleeping until they heard an alarm coming from the hideout Pixal had made. "Guys, somethings going on in Ninjago City!" Julien said. He tapped through the technology and tried to scan where the alarm was coming from in Ninjago City. "What's going on Julien?" Roman asked. "There's something going on at the top of Borg Tower. I'll send you and Raeden," Julien explained. "Alright, then. Me and Brenden will get ready," Raeden said. He and Roman rushed out of the hideout. They quickly got on their ninja suits and took their vehicles.

When they arrived at Borg Tower, they saw cobras on top of the Tower. "Raeden, up there!" Brenden said. "Looks like we got some snakes up on our hands!" Raeden smiled. They went back on their vehicles and quickly flew to the top of the tower. "Brenden, remember not to use your powers okay? We don't want to get corrupted," Raeden said. His face had a frown. He wanted to forget the fact that he hurt Sensei Lloyd and Nya when he was corrupted, he wanted them to be here, but their not here anymore. "Alrighty! Looks we're here, get out of your vehicle," Brenden said. Brenden got out of his vehicle to realize that it was a trap.

Suddenly, a cobra ambushed them. Lucky for them, Raeden and Brenden dodged. "Where are they coming from?!" Raeden asked. "They are cobras!! Cobras have served The Overlord for billions of years! It's not likely for them to get revenge for The Overlord!!" Brenden explained. He was suddenly grabbed by Asparagus, the cobra leader. "Who are you and let my friend go!" Raeden yelled. He saw that Brenden was being choked by Asparagus. "My names Asparagus! The leader of Cobras!! We've served The Overlord for billions of years!! We were gonna take this last piece but you showed up!! If you want your friend back, then turn in yourself!" Asparagus explained. His tail was squeezing Brenden even tighter until he couldn't breathe. "Brenden, okay!! You win!! I, I, I'll turn myself in, but promise not to hurt him!" Raeden sobbed. "Very well then, but I do not make any promises, do you understand?" Asparagus said. He dropped Brenden onto the ground and Brenden started coughing a lot. "Aspirin, fire your weapon at this human," Asparagus smiled. Aspirin pointed his blaster at Raeden and shot Raeden in the back without him noticing. Raeden fell to the ground and was knocked out. "R, Raeden!!" Brenden cried out. "What did you do to him?!" Brenden asked. "Well, I put him to sleep because he was so annoying, unlike you!" Asparagus said. "You won't get away with this!" Brenden said. "Oh I already did," Asparagus smirked. "Aspirin and Aspartame, bring them with us!" Asparagus said. "Yes sir!" Aspirin and Aspartame both said. They grabbed Raeden and Brenden and chained them in vengestone chains. "Hey!! Let us go!!" Brenden yelled. "I'm afraid I can't do that.." Asparagus said. He punched Brenden in the face and Brenden blacked out. Asparagus said, "Take these humans, they seem like they've been trained by Lloyd. I have plans for them.."

~The Next Day~

Tasha got up and yawned. Today she and Raeden were gonna go to the arcade to play some games together. She got dressed and walked out of her room. Tasha walked down the hallway and headed to the gaming room. She entered and saw Zoey and Kevin playing chess. "Hey guys, have you seen Raeden or my brother anywhere?" Tasha asked. "Oh! Julien told me that your brother and Raeden went on a mission last night to Borg Tower and haven't came back every since," Kevin replied. "Well, where's Julien then?" Tasha asked. "He's in the hideout Tash," Zoey replied. "Thanks Zo! I'll go ask him!" Tasha smiled. Tasha headed to the hideout and saw Julien looking at the screen. "Hey Julien, has my brother and Raeden came home yet?" Tasha asked. Julien replied, "No, they haven't came home yet. Ever since last night, I've been getting a distress single from your brother. He only uses it when there's emergencies, so something must've happened to him and Raeden.." Tasha stood there in silence, she couldn't believe it, something happened to her brother and boyfriend. Julien put his hand on her shoulder. "We'll find them, I promise." Julien said. Tasha smiled, "I just hope their okay.." Julien sighed, "Me too Tasha."

Oh nO!! Asparagus and his minions took Raeden and Brenden! What are we gonna do?? That's a lot of words.. but hey, it was fun writing the first chapter!
