Chapter 13

No'one's pov

Herb seated himself besides Vampire who was drinking and chatting with Mint. Cocoa was talking with Latte, Raspberry, and Parfait. Clover was taking a mini nap while Madeleine kept on texting to someone on his phone and grinning. Sparkling was serving a random costumer, as usual.

"Heyo," Latte said, "I thought you had plans tonight."

"O-oh, my parents said that they'll be arriving late," Herb responded, "I decided to come here."

"Ooo, to see Sparkling?" Parfait bursted into giggles and Raspberry gently gave her a nudge.

Herb's face heated up instantly and he quickly stutter, "N-no!"

"Mhm, suureee," Latte teased with an unconvincing tone, "Sorry, but Cocoa we're gonna go and leave Herb alone."

"Oh, also Madeleine you are just distracting Espresso on the phone, it's very ineffective. Go to him in person," Raspberry added and gave him a goofy smirk, "I'm sure Latte agrees that her brother seriously needs a break."

"Coming coming," Madeleine mumbled flustered.

"Awe, bye then you guys!" Cocoa said with a fake pout.

"Bye!" The 3 girls leaving said as Sparkling leaned across the counter to face Herb.

"Cya guys," Madeleine saluted and everyone else waved him goodbye as well.. well except for Sparkling who was gazing intensely at Herb and Clover who was still asleep and was just waking up.

Herb watched them leave as Parfait kissed Latte and Raspberry's cheeks before heading out. Herb was starting to zone out and didn't notice Sparkling leaning closer to his ear.

"Hey," Sparkling whispered into Herb's ear surprising him.

Herb flinched away a biiiit too far causing him to fall off his seat and onto the dark oak floor. Some customers glanced their way which made Herb flush embarrassed.

"O-ow! Don't scare me like that!" Herb squeaked and helped himself up onto his stool.

"Sorry," Sparkling chuckled but seeing Herb's pouting face, he started to panic.

"Wait no, I'm sorry! Don't pout, wait, wait," Sparkling exclaimed and started to look around for something in panic. 

"Oh hey Herb... uh what's Sparkling doing?" Clover murmured giving a yawn.

Cocoa giggled and mint watched in amusement. Vampire, as usual, was quite drunk, but still found the situation funny.

"Hey Herb, who are your parents? I would like to meet them" Mint asked Herb.

"Hmm? Oh yeah, me too," Vampire mumbled.

"Yess! Clover, don't you agree?" Cocoa added before taking a sip of her hot chocolate.

"Oh, I've met them before," Clover said nonchalantly, "But-"

"Herb! Have some tea I made especially for you!" Sparkling suddenly announced and carefully set down the special green cup of tea down.

"What is it?" Herb questioned curiously as he looked at the opaque peachish orange drink.

"It's Herbal Tea, but with a secret ingredient," Sparkling winked and smirked.

Herb blushed and gently took a sip of the cold drink before smiling adorably. Sparkling grinned at Herb's expression. 

"This tasted really good," Herb complimented, "Say, didn't you want to meet my parents as well?"
