"Pops I'm not tired"
I yawned rubbing my eyes. All the girls was in their room asleep from the movie. It was just me and Amir up and little man didn't want to sleep cause I'm leaving back on tour tomorrow night
He thinks him staying up is gonna magically make tomorrow night come
"You wanna sleep in our room tonight Mir?"
He nodded practically forcing himself to stay awake "aight come on little man" I picked him up as I finally turned the light off downstairs and made my way upstairs through the back stairs that didn't go pass the front of the house
"Pops?"
"Yea Mir?"
" imma miss you again"
" imma spend the whole day with everybody
tomorrow and it's a few more weeks then daddy be back home okay?"
He nodded his head as he was already dozing off in my arms as I laid him in the middle of the bed by Stephanie as I went to take a quick shower
Turning the water on then stripping out of my clothes I stepped in letting the water fall on me without moving
I started thinking how my life took a whole 360 in these months. Been something on my mind for awhile that I need to bring up to Stephanie before the wedding
I felt her hands wrap around my torso as she placed kisses on my back
"Mir ain't wanna sleep in his room?"
I turned around wrapping my arms around her "yea he was trying hard to stay awake thinking I'd disappear right in front of him"
She nodded as we stayed silent an let the water fall on us
"You gon get your hair messed up if you stay under the water to long"
" my fiancé gon pay to fix it so I'm not worried" she rubbed her hands up and down my back then pushed off me and grabbed the native soap bottle and African net lathering it up as she began to clean herself
I did the same as we showered in silence getting to ever nook and cranny cleaning ourselves. She rinsed herself off then left out
I stayed in for a few minutes going back into my thoughts.
Thinking about what's next. For awhile I've been having an uneasy feeling ever since I proposed to Stephanie. Not that I don't want to marry her because that's forever my baby
But something doesn't feel right. Like a storm is coming for my family and I don't know what to do to stop it from hurting them
The water stopped running as I saw Steph with the door open and a towel waiting for me "you'll catch a cold staying under that water like that peanut come on"
I smirked as i stepped out and I let her wrap the towel around me "I love you baby"
She rubbed my cheek and kissed it "I love you more, hurry up and come to bed"
I let her walk away to our bedroom as I began to moisturize my skin and find my sweats and a white tee to wear.
I was finally dressed as I seen Amaya laying across Amir and Ayanna three feet away from kicking Kairi in the stomach
I raised my brow in question as Stephanie shrugged "when I came out I saw them all in here already sleep"
I fixed Ayanna so she's facing her head in laid on the pillow "imma miss them like crazy"
"It's two more months left and we'll see you like three times the first month" I nodded knowing she was right
She put on the nanny as her background noise as she turned towards me and stared
"Whatchu staring for ?"
"I can stare at whatever belongs to me"
" you lucky these kids here id have yo as— alright now cause they listen to everything even in they sleep so behave yourself"
I lick my lips staring back at her as she smiled rubbing her eyes " go to sleep baby"
" I'm not tired though" she started pulling one pillow close to her chest and another in between her legs letting me know she about to be sleep soon, less than a minute
"Right." We stayed in silence until I could hear her soft snores fill the room.
I couldn't shake off the uneasiness I felt before but I know it's something for another day I felt Kairi snuggle close up as I myself started dozing off
I don't need nothing happening to my family
I won't let nothing happen to them
I was on the verge of sleep when my security alarm alerted me that someone came through the gates. I quickly shot up turning the sound off to not wake everyone up as I checked the cameras.
I went into the security room and seen the camera by the gate and front door were off. Someone must have hacked them or cut it off. I pulled out the gun from the top drawer walking towards the front pushing the curtain back checking outside. Looking out in front of the fountain a cut out of Stephanie was on fire along side three smaller ones I'm assuming represents the triplets
I balled my fist as I cussed under my breathe " I knew some shit was going down"
I pulled my phone out and called Sean And O
"My spot.
Now."
I stared one more time at the scene clenching my jaw before walking away.
Somebody dying and it ain't a Brewster.
