Chapter Thirteen

START-

I stood there in shock as my comrade pressed his soft lips to mine.
My heartbeat instantly picked up pace and my hands got shaky.

What?
I spent years in the forest training and fighting rogue ninja... Yet just one kiss is able to do this to me?
Kakashi, how are you able to do that...?

I was so caught up in my thoughts that I almost forgot about the current situation, until my childhood crush pulled away with a dark pink colour covering his cheeks.
He slowly replaced his mask before looking away and speaking.

"I'm sorry... I just-..."

"It's okay, Kakashi..." I chuckled, gently placing one hand on the back of his neck while using the other to tug his mask down. "I get what you mean.."

Once again, our lips met and we shared a sweet kiss. This time though, I kissed back. Kakashi placed his large hands on my hips and smoothly pulled me closer to him until we were pressed against each other.

Moments later, we pulled apart.

"So..." Kakashi started, pulling his mask back up without breaking eye contact. "Does this mean... You're here to stay?"

"Yeah... I'm here to stay."
