still it wasn't enough and that's way that night you found yourself looking up at the ceiling, again.

you had had some sort of deja vu as your mind took you back to months prior when you were thinking about how different your life could've been.

in this period of time your mind changed and you found yourself thinking everyday a little more about how easier it would've been if master splinter hadn't found you.

if he had left you to some one else, to someone human.

and you felt bad asking that to yourself.

so you pretended like everything was fine, until you closed the doors of your room and it was just you and yourself, no one else.

until your mind had nothing that stopped it from breaking you.

you didn't know that, on that day, someone else was having trouble sleeping.

splinter had just woke up, his erratic breathing echoing in his room, he could feel his deep breaths like they were in his brain.

he looked in front of him not daring to move as he tried to calm himself.

'it was just a dream' he repeated again and again in his head.

but to him he looked real, too real.

the way all his sons had fight till the end, protecting one another.

he had watched as they died one after an other, and he couldn't do anything about it.

but the worst part was when he saw who was killing his children, the shredder.

even in his sleep his enemy found ways to torment him, and this time he had gone deep, too far.

he had took you.

in his dream when splinter had turned around, facing the shredder a shadow could be seen behind him, and you had come out.

you had been covered in blood but he had knew it hadn't been yours; and when he had watched the shredder put and hand on your shoulder and murmuring something in your ears he had knew that it had been you.

you had killed his sons.

he looked at you slowly walking towards him, your eyes dark and angry.

your warm energy had left completely leaving only darkness and the shredder had took advantage of it,making you take his side.

splinter knew that it was just a dream.

but he felt like there was something telling him that it had some truth behind it, that it wasn't something made only from his conscious but it was a true possibility.

so he had to prevent it.

that was his exact thought when he decided to stop all of you from going up to the surface.

"where are you going?"

"heading out for our evening patrol." answered leo.

"there will be no patrol." responded your sensei really serious.

you and leo looke at him not understanding what was happening.

"last time you fought the shredder, you barely escaped with your lives." he responded making you cringe at the thought.

"but, sensei, next time, we'll be ready."  said raphael.

your sensei took his sons in his arms, not in the kind way that a father should, but in a way that he couldn't escape and his wrist was bend to hurt.
