"Well I am not going back to school," he says and takes a seat next to me on the couch.

"Whatever." I say and press the play button on the remote.

"I'm way better looking than that guy," Ace says.

We are currently watching Gilmore Girls and having some popcorn as well. It has just been us for the past 2 hours. Mom as checked up during her lunch break, but I didn't tell her I was with anyone. I should tell her about our neighbors.

"You wish, Dean is way hotter," I say and chuckle a little.

There was a brief moment of eye contact between us. He looked away first, looser.

"Whatever, let's do something, we have been sitting here four hours," he says and gets up off the couch.

"Like what," I say not budging.

"Want some food," he says.

"Yeah that sounds nice," I say and get up off the couch.

"Great see you in 20," he says but pulls me in and bends down to whisper "look cute Mia."

****
It took me a quick fifteen minutes to get ready. Since Ace said to look cute I went with a navy blue dress that goes all the way down to my mid-thigh and black high heels. Also, I paired some silver jewelry with the dress. (Inspo pic below of dress)

Since Ace isn't here yet so I decided to wait downstairs for him.

10 minutes

20 minutes

30 minutes go by and he hasn't shown. Should I go check on him? No, I can text him.

Ace

Ace I am ready whenever you are.

15 minutes go by and no response. I give in and decide to go over to his house.

I knock on the door and nobody answers. I push the door open and it was unlocked. I walk in and I instantly hear yelling.

"NO I HAVE NO RIGHT TO GO WITH YOU, YOU DON'T CONTROL ME," Ace yells.

"CHILL OUT I AM ONLY DOING WHAT IS BEST FOR YOU," the other man yells.

"BULLSHIT, YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT ME YOU NEVER FUCKING DID, YOU ONLY CARE ABOUT THE MONEY," Ace yells.

I start to walk into where the conversation was taking place. Both of them stare at me. I hate that.

"Uh sorry the door was unlocked, Ace are you ready," I ask in a quieter voice than normal.

"Yeah, let's go," Ace replies while fixing his shirt.

He wore a navy blue button-up and black jeans. He added a silver chain for a necklace and then kept the rings he always wears.

"Hold up, who is this Ace," the man asks.

"Doesn't matter who she is," Ace says while pushing me behind him.

"Ace, son please calm down," the man says.

Ace starts to clench his fists. If you were here right now with me you could see his veins popping out of his everything. It looks like he's gonna blow.

I slip my hand down and grab his, while my other arm is holding onto his bicep. Which calms him a little.

"I am not your son, let's go," he says and we are out.

We walk over to his car and hop in, but as soon as we get in Ace slams his hand on the horn.

That made me jump a little.

"Ace," I say.

No response

"Ace are you okay," I ask.

Still no response. He had his head on the steering wheel and was very tense.

"Ace look at me, please," I say.

I am deeply worried about Ace. I know that is not the best thing, but I am. I wonder who the guy was. Were him and Ace related in any way?

"We don't have to go anywhere."

Still no response. I put a hand on the back of his neck and rub it. He then grabs my hand and brings it to his knee. I bring my chin to his shoulder and whispered. "Ace, I know you are not okay right now, but you can talk to me about it."

He starts to sit up. I move back a little keeping my hand on his knee and his hand on top of mine.

"I'm fucked up, I can't do it anymore Mia I just can't," he says and a tear starts to fall down his face.

"Do what," I ask.

"Be his slave, I do everything for him. He never gives me anything in return." He says. I hold his head as he starts to cry on my shoulder.

"Ace it's okay, you don't owe him anything, even though I have no clue what you are talking about but you don't," I say. I rub the back of his head.

We sit there in silence for about 10 minutes. I let him cry. He doesn't say anything and I don't want him to. He can talk when he is ready.

"We shouldn't go out tonight," he says.

"If that's what you want," I say while lifting his head.

"It is," he says and looks me directly in the eye.

"Okay come to my house," I say.

"Can I change out of this first," he asks.

"Go right ahead Ace,"

"Thank you, princess," he says and gets out of his car, and walks back inside his house.

I couldn't help but blush a little when he called me princess. I walk back inside my house and head upstairs.
