Quickly making my way downstairs i sat in front of my father.
"Morning father." I whispered to him not looking at him. One of his rules is don't look at him until he tells you to.
"What took you so long you ungrateful child." My father growled out.
"I over slept father sorry i was up late sorting out the seeds that Leader Johannah asked me to do." I whispered out.
"Eat or else we will be late to the choosing ceremony and you better choose Amity or else I'll you'll be lucky to be alive when i get my hands on you." He said standing up and walking around the table towards me.
"Yes father." I said barely above a whisper causing him to humm and answer he grabbed my hair and pushed my head down onto the table.
"I can't wait for us to get home than I'll fully have you it's been years since i touch a woman." My father said into my ear as he licked m ear from top to bottom.
"Zack you in there come on if we don't leave now we will be late." Someone shouted from outside as they knocked on the door.
After a long walk i reached the choosing hall just as my father and his friends stepped out of the truck that was driving some of the Amity parents.
"Rosemary come." My father said as he grabbed my arm and pulled me along with his friends.
As the name of some of the kids are called i looked over towards the Dauntless trying to spot Max seeing him i smiled lightly causing him to smile back at me. You see Max found me one day after a brutal beating in the woods near Dauntless and he helped me to clean my wounds and to bandage them he is the only one who knew about my abuse and powers.
"ROSEMARY STONE." Marcus Eaton shouted out my name.
"You better choose Amity." My father said in a low whisper as i stood up. Not looking at him i made my way towards the stadium upfront looking at the bowls i took the dagger and made a small cut on my palm holding it over Amity i turned towards my father and looked him straight in his eyes causing him to glare at me moving my hand away from the bowl and dropping my blood on the coal for dauntless.
"DAUNTLESS." Marcus shouted causing the dauntless side to roar with cheers. Walking up towards Max he took my hand lightly and applying a bandage on the cut.
"I'm proud of you Rose." Max whispered towards me offering me the seat next to his sitting down i turned towards my father only to see him with a murdering look on his face 'your dead' he mouthed towards me.
After the ceremony i followed the Dauntless only to see them climbing up towards the train tracks following them i smiled as the wind blew in my face. As i joined the others on the tracks i saw that they started running along the tracks following them i passed each other transfers and ran along with the Dauntless born as the train came next to us one of them jumped on and opened all the doors i jumped into the train without problem.
"An Amity on the first cart I'm impressed." A dauntless born said. "Names Issac and yours." He added
"Rose." I whispered to him looking at the floor of the train.
"Well Rose get ready we're about to jump again you can follow me." He said as he got ready "Now." He shouted and jumped. I ran behind him and jumped landing on my feet.
"How did you do that." Someone asked as they stood up.
"Sometimes when I'm late or just want to get home on time i ride with the train and jump off when im close to the Fields." I said as we walked towards the group of people standing at the edge of the building.
