The Unexplained Creature

That night as the boys get ready for bed Ace lay awake thinking of his conversation with Kaveion. It bothers him that neither of them knew how she could've known that necklace belonged to someone here. He lay awake as the other boys slept. After about 20 minutes he decides to get up, open the window, crawl to the roof of the apartment, and pull a pack of cigarettes from a small metal box on the roof. He lights one and takes a long pull from it. He stares out watching the nighttime clouds or flashing lights of the city. He takes a big sniff, Ace loves the city air, and he loves testing his tracking abilities maybe he'll be able to track Ivy down. He sniffs harder seeing what can he smell Chinese food, an old train passing by, and a truck full of smoked meats. He sniffs harder.

"Ah, there you are." Ace says to himself. Ivy isn't too far from where they are. He's south of here, on the outskirts of town where no one would go looking. He decides he'll tell Oscar to cast a scent spell on the apartment. He knows Ivy is a good tracker and is possibly willing to kill anyone in his way to kill him. Ace knows Ivy would never come too close to a public place like this, but he knows underestimating your enemy is one of the biggest mistakes someone can make. Ace sniffs again maybe he can pinpoint the exact location and ambush him. He loses the scent, Skylar must be on the move. He sniffs again giving it all his focus. Got something. But wait, it's a Wragler, but it's not Ivy.

"The hell?" Ace says as the hair on the back of his neck begins to stand. He's on high alert now. Ace flexes out his ears hoping to maybe hear it. This HAS to be because of Ivy. Ace has lived peacefully with the rest for 3 years without sensing another Wragler. Suddenly he hears a small flutter it's faint but apparent. He doesn't see it, it must be cloaked. He hears another flap, Ace sees a random blue feather fall from the sky, he grabs it and notices it has a blue aura to it. He hears something land on the rooftop of another building close to the one he's on. It's uncloaked. It's fascinating. Ace knows that Wragler's from other countries look different from the ones he's used to, but this one is really strange compared to any Wragler he's ever seen. He stays low, ears flat, breath shallow. He watches the Wragler. It looks around, sniffs the air, and looks around again. Ace knows that behavior. It's his own. That Wragler is tracking something. Is it him? Was it Ivy? Whatever it was it seemed intrigued to find it. It flexes out its wings, but it's the strangest thing, it has feathers, definitely where that blue feather came from. It can't be a Wragler. A shapeshifter pretending to be a Wragler maybe, some creature with the ability to change its form pretends to be stronger creatures they're not in order to protect themselves. The only difference is they don't have the same powers as the creature they're disguised as. Ace decides that the creature shouldn't be so close to his home or civilization in general. Ace is rested up so his abilities work now, and he's craving a bit of chaos. Ace goes into his feral form, and flies upwards, he decides to catch the creature by surprise with a dive bomb. He gets up high as he can and swoops down for the hit. He makes a direct hit causing the creature to screech out in pain, he hopes this Wragler imposter will form back so he actually knows what he's dealing with. The creature blasts a beam of lightning from its maw, Ace uses his ability of luck so the blast misses him. It blasts out another beam, and Ace blasts out a lightning strike as well this time the creature uses all its might so its beam reaches Ace, but Ace doesn't give up and pushes past his limits, making his beam reach the creature before their beam reaches him. He succeeds in blasting his opponent, the creature is weakened by this, it looks at Ace one last time flashing bright blue eyes, before making a break for it. Ace remembers something, during his fight with Ivy there was a blue beam of light were they the cause of it?

"Wait, I'm not finished with you yet!" Ace yells he follows the creature hopping rooftop from rooftop. This strikes Ace as weird if this creature has wings why doesn't it fly, was it trying to get caught? Ace catches up with the creature grabbing it and flying high in the air. It struggles and claws at Ace, it then snaps at his neck. Ace then throws the creature as it uses its wings as a parachute rather than flying away. Ace dive bombs the creature again hurting its wing. It falls out of the sky smashing its head on the ledge of a building. Ace flies down to make sure he's finished what he started. Lucky for him the creature should've landed in an alleyway so he won't have to risk being seen by a human. He goes down to see only blue feathers, he sniffs the air to track it down knowing it couldn't have gone far. Suddenly Ace gets blasted in his back, causing him to fall to the ground. Ace shakes it off and stands back up listening for the creature, it blasts him again in the face. Ace lets out a roar of frustration.
