"Yeah, the blue-haired chick insisted she pays for your rent. I could only assume she's your sister. Isn't she?" Wade asks looking up at Martrez.

"Um yeah um she must've forgotten to text us," Martrez says trying to play along. This news makes his stomach flutter and his heart pound. He immediately takes his stuff back up to the apartment.

"Guys! Guys! Guys! Stop packing!" Martrez says bursting through the door. 

"Why did you somehow get the money?" Oscar asks dropping his stuff.

"Even better," Martrez says happily.

"Remember that lady that came by and returned Oscar's necklace?" He asks.

"Yeah what about her?" Kaveion asks with an eyebrow raise.

"She paid for our rent," Martrez says jumping happily.

"What?" Ace says.

"Really?" Oscar says starting to dance around.

"Yeah Wade told me when I was bringing the box down," Martrez says joining Oscar in dancing.

"Why would she do that?" Kaveion asks stopping the two.

"Maybe our luck is turning around?" Ace says flashing his eyes purple.

"Ace? Did you?" Oscar cocks his head at Ace

"No, as much as I hate to say I uh I'm still a bit weak from that fight still, my ability doesn't work." Ace says outstretching his hand only for purple sparks to fly from it.

"Hm maybe just someone felt bad enough for us to help?" Kaveion says returning his stuff to its original position.

"Yeah, I guess." Ace says with a slight frown.

"Whelp I guess we can put our stuff back," Oscar says putting his stuff back where it belongs. As the boys were putting their stuff back they hear Oscar let out a loud screech.

"What is wrong with you?" Ace says rubbing his ears.

"Guys if our rent is paid do you know what that means?" Oscar shouts.

"That we don't have to worry about rent until next month," Kaveion says casually.

"Besides that!" Oscar says excitedly.

"Umm." The boys ponder for a bit but can't think of anything.

"We have money to buy groceries!" Oscar says let out another screech.

"Cool it, Bambi! You're loud enough as it is."

"Fuck I didnt even think of that," Kaveion says.

"We had a rocky ass start but now it's turning around we can go in the morning," Oscar says clopping his hooves happily around the apartment.

"Sure they are." Ace says lowly. Kaveion notices something ever since they got the news there has been only one person who seems not as excited as he should be.

"Aye Ace can we talk a minute," Kaveion asks walking to a separate room Ace follows him in and Kaveion closes the door behind him.

"What's wrong Ace?" Kaveion says leaning against the walk.

"Nothing." Ace says turning his head so he doesn't make eye contact.

"It's something everyone is happy and dancing around except you," Kaveion says.

"So? You know I'm not the most joyful." Ace says crossing his arms.

"I've seen you dance after beating us in a video game. You genuinely don't seem excited." Kaveion says.

"Just..." Ace takes a minute.

"Hm?" Kaveion asks tilting his head.

"Kaveion you know I have trust issues." Ace says lowly.

"I know." Kaveion is confused as to where this conversation is heading.

"Well I know there can be some nice humans in the world but I find something weird." Ace says with a worried expression.

"What?" Kaveion asks.

"How did she know to return it to this specific address." He said looking Kaveion dead in the eyes.
