"Fine," Oscar shouts closing the door.

"What do we do?" Martrez asks starting to visibly panic.

"I dunno," Oscar says trying to calm him down.

"We can't lose our home." Ace chimes in.

"We won't." Kaveion states. The young woman hears all this through the door. She was gonna knock and ask if they needed help, but now she was sure of it. She walks back down the hallway to catch up with Wade assuming he must've been the landlord here.

"Hey sir, I'll pay for their rent." The woman says catching up with him. Wade scoffs and keeps walking not responding to the woman.

"Um hey did you hear me sir I'll pay for their apartment." The woman says a bit louder.

"Look ma'am I get you're probably trying to be helpful but I highly doubt you could afford their rent so how about you run along," Wade says continuing to walk back to his office.

"That's funny because I don't think I asked I told you I was paying their rent." She snaps.

"Listen ma'am we don't take monopoly money, so unless you have cash on you, you should just-" Wade says turning to face the woman but is interrupted.

Thud

"I said it once and I'll say it again since your deaf I said I'm paying their rent and you're gonna let me okay?" The woman's eyes begin to swirl as she looks Wade in the eye speaking to him.

"Okay." Wade slurs

"Good come along now." The woman says now leading him to his office.

"Look guys we might as well pack up and go before Wade call the cops or something," Kaveion suggests.

"But where will we go? How will we eat?" Martrez asks hyperventilating.

"Hey, I'm the oldest and I promised yall I wouldn't let anything bad happen to y'all. Okay?" Kaveion says hold Martrez by the shoulders. Martrez pulls him into a hug scared of what they have to prepare themselves for. The boys pack up all they can carry. Martrez is the first one to bring a box of his belongings into the lobby.

"Um, kid what are you doing?" Wade asks seeing Martrez placing the box

"Packing our stuff and leaving," Martrez says shakily.

"Why?" Wade asks confused.

"What do you mean why we couldn't come up with the money and we don't need you freaking out on--" Martrez begins and starts getting louder with each word.

"Woah Woah Woah Woah. Pump your breaks kid. Your rent has been paid for." Wade says scratching his head.

"Huh?" Martrez asks confused.

"Yeah it's already paid for," Wade says casually scrolling through his phone.

"How none of us paid you yet?" Martrez asks.

"Are you slow your sister paid for you," Wade says rudely.

"Sister?" Martrez questions.
