Darcy Murphy was born in Belleville,Ontario and is the son of David and Julie Murphy. Darcy came to Colgate in August of 2012 and in his freshman season, he recorded 10 goals,five assists for a total of 15 points as a freshman. The following season, Murphy recorded 19 goals, nine assists for a total of 28 points as a sophomore. Darcy learned how to distribute the puck more in his junior season where he recorded 11 goals, 15 assists for a total of 26 points in his semifinal season on campus. Murphy concluded his Colgate career tallying 8 goals,13 assists for a total of 21 points as a senior. Majoring in history and English, Murphy graduated in May of 2016. Darcy wore number fifteen his entire Colgate journey.
