This week has been hectic for us.
Tomorrow is the University President's Day, and as Hospitality Management student, kami ang napili or more like na-challenge para mag cater sa big event na yun. Though for snacks lang naman ang iseserve, but still, we will cater for 150 pax.
And as an org president, I was the one assigned to be the banquet manager. This is really challenging and I am pressured but its okay, I love what i'm doing naman.
Before I go, I sent a message to Marcus first.
Me:
good morninggg! i'll be busy today, prep namin for tomorrow's event.

I double checked my things bago umalis ng dorm at pumunta sa school. Mamamalengke lang naman kami ng mga ingredients and other needs today, and preparation na din since morning gaganapin ang event bukas.
"Hi, good morning!" Bati ko sa kanila ng makarating ako sa HM lab.
"Good morning, Rovy!"
"Andito na ba lahat?" I asked again.
"Wala pa, pero kompleto naman na ang mga heads." Sagot ni Orven.
"Nice. So for today's ganap, bibili lang naman tayo ng mga ingredients and other needs. Nabigay na rin sakin yung pera." I informed them, "Des, okay na ba lista ng mga ingredients? Kayo na lang bumili since mas alam niyo yan, don't forget the official receipt please." Sabi ko kay Desiree, she is the one assigned as the Head Cook. "And Stephen, may message daw sayo si Chef about sa lulutuin na Kinalas." Baling ko kay Stephen, the one assigned sa pagluto ng Kinalas.
"And for the table skirting, Jenly, pakilista na lang yung mga telang gagamitin ang hihiramin daw. You guys can go to Pav na, papunta na daw dun si Ma'am Carrie to guide you. Sunod ako later to check the venue." Sabi ko kay Jenly, tumango naman ito agad at sumunod.
"Orvs, samahan ko kayo to buy the other things needed."
Nag-remind na din ako sa group chat ng food and beverage servers for tomorrow about their designation tasks, attire, and other matters.
Napansin ko na may reply si Marcus sa message ko kanina so I opened it.
Marcus:
Good morning
Mag-reresearch din kami ngayon
Ingat ka and kumain ka ha
I typed my late reply.
Me:
yes boss
ingat ka!
After that, we proceed to buying things that we need. Paper plates, disposable spoon and fork, paper cups, and others. Chef told us na ganun na lang since the theme is like fiesta or festival, and limited rin naman ang budget namin.
We bought some cloths din, kasi kulang yung tela sa laboratory. For the designs and other naman, meron daw si Chef na suitable sa theme, so no worries na.
Past lunch when we finished sa pagbili ng mga kailangan. Nagugutom na ako at nakakaramdam ng pagod dahil kanina pa kami lakad ng lakad.
"Kamusta? Nakabili kayo ng lahat ng kailangan para sa lulutuin?" I asked nang makabalik kami sa HM lab.
"Oo, ito yung sobra sa pera tapos resibo, kaso yung iba walang official receipt kaya pinapasulat na lang namin sa papel." Sabi ni Des at inabot sa akin ang sobrang pera at mga resibo.
"Okay na 'to, thank youuu, Des! Lunch muna tayo tapos mamaya hapon na mag-start mag-prep ng mga lulutuin." Sabi ko sa kanila.
"Rovy, asan si Chef? Kausapin ko." Tanong ni Stephen sa akin.
"Nasa pav ata, pero pupunta yun dito mamaya." Sagot ko, "Lunch muna daw tayo." Dagdag ko pa.
We decided to had quick lunch. Ngayon lang din ako nagka-time na icheck ang phone ko.
