Jercy I: Coffee and Confessions

"Jason, I need you to pretend I'm your date."

"What?"

Percy's Pov

You may be asking "how did this happen?", and honestly I don't know. The day started pretty normal, Jason dragged me out of bed at like 9AM (which is way too early) to go and get coffee. 

I was still half asleep as we pulled up to the coffee shop and Jason parked the car. He practically dragged me into the building saying "This is exactly why you need coffee". Once we were in the building my eyes had to adjust to the difference in light. It was much dimmer in the shop than outside.

We ordered our drinks, me a strawberry creme frappuccino, and Jason an iced pumpkin spice latte. Both are good choices, I was probably gonna steal some of Jason's later. We waited a few minutes until our drinks were ready and then brought them to a table to drink them.

We were having a good laugh over our idea to make a new camp called "Brome" , when I saw her. It couldn't be, I hadn't seen her for months.

"Jason, I need you to pretend I'm your date."

"What?'

"My ex Miriam just walked in, I need you to pretend I'm your date", I desperately begged Jason.

"What do I do?" he whispered.

"Hold my hand, compliment me!" I said a bit too eagerly. If I was being completely honest I'd been dreaming of Jason sweet talking me over a cup of coffee for longer than I'd like to admit. I saw the opportunity and I snatched it up as soon as it appeared.

Jason's POV

I was holding, THE, Percy Jackson's hand and spitting out all the compliments I'd been holding back for as long as I'd known him. I told him about his eyes, how they sparkled like seafoam brushing softly against the sand, as the sun overhead reflected its beautiful rays off of the ocean's surface. And I told him about his hair, how it reminded me of the midnight sky so dark, yet so bold. How it seemed to cover everything the eye could see other than the one white streak, I knew to be from holding up the sky itself.

I said it with so much passion that I was worried he might catch on to how I really felt about him. How badly i wanted to run my hands through that midnight black skin and comfort him when the sea leaked from his ocean eyes. To explore every inch of the beach that was his skin, to run my hands through the sands of his body until there was no part of him I hadn't marked my own.

Percy's POV

Jason spoke with such intent that if I didn't know the truth I would've thought he actually liked me back in the way I liked him. But I knew he was straight, he'd dated piper for 3 years and only ever talked about liking girls before, although we didn't talk about crushes often.

We finished our coffees and I led Jason outside, not letting go of his hand until we had to split ways to enter the car. I really screwed myself this time. Jason was going to hate me now, I probably made him really uncomfortable and he'll never want to talk to me again.

Jason's POV

When we got in the car Percy started apologizing profusely saying "I'm so sorry, I probably made you really uncomfortable and you probably hate me now" "Percy." "and I understand if you never want to talk to me again and-" "Percy!" I placed one hand on his shoulder and used the other to cup his face in the palm of my hand. Now was my chance. I slowly leaned in and pressed his soft lips to mine. After a moment he kissed back only pulling away so we could take a breath before pressing our lips back together in a passionate, lustful kiss that both boys had been waiting what felt like forever for.
