“Whut didsh he dsho?” her big eyes look back at Wade curiously and Wade ignores the way people’s eyebrows raise in confusion

“He was like a people detective” Wade began, pulling on her cheeks now

“detehctuve?” Ellie repeated

“Yes” Wade affirmed, nodding his head wisely “You see that guy over there?” Wade turns Ellie’s face towards Tony “He’s his boss”

“Oh!” Ellie blinks “I thought he had a mustache” then “YOU SUC-“

Wade quickly clamps a hand over her mouth, cringing under the mask with an apologetic smile towards Tony whose eyebrows shot up in surprise

“Wrong boss” Wade says quickly “I meant- this is the boss of the bosses, Ellie” He turns her back to face him, speaking seriously as she attempts to nod despite her face being captured

“So hesh worse?”

“No- Ellie, not the point” Wade sighs and continues with his bullshitting “Listen Ellie, not even that man knew how to decipher that patient and hes the owner of this whole thing”

“wow” Ellie’s eyebrows go up

“Yeah” Wade nods but he isn’t sure if she thinks the man only own the infirmary or the actual building “and you should’ve seen, he was struggling”

“What?” Wade ignores Tony

“Then Petey came along with his little nerd powers” Wade continue

“Yeah” Wade agreed with Ellie’s excitement “He was all like…” Wade struggled to come up with something so he just went with sound effects, letting Ellie fill in with her imagination “WOOSH POOOOH WOWOWOW”

“Peter beat up the patient?” Ellie tilts her head

“wha- No!”

“The boss?” she asks, clearly Wade didnt give good side effects

“Not literally” Wade sighed “What I’m trying to say here, Ellie, is that Petey here used a hundred percent of his brain power to save the day-“ he gestures to the sleeping man, fronting slightly “ence why he needs rest” he explains

“That doesn’t even-“ Dr Banner began but fell silent quickly as he looked at Ellie who was looking at Peter like he was a legendary hero

“I would’ve been able to use a hundred percent of my brain power too” Tony mumbled and Wade only thinks he didn’t imagine it because Miss Romanova kicks him.

Then, Ellie frowns and looks back at Wade and glares at him
“You’re lying” she huffed and crossed her arms

“Wha-ha-hahah?” Wade laughs nervously, caught red handed

“I’m not a baby anymore!” Ellie says but remains on his lap and glaring at him with a pout that definitely made her look like a baby “You don’t have to filter stuff” she rolls her eyes and to prove her point “Peter already told me where babies really come from and its not storks”

“He what?!” Wade paled, how could Peter do that?! Ellie is just a baby!! She doesnt need to know the harsh truth of womanhood!!!!

“Relax dad” she shuffles out of his lap “You can tell me what really happened, I bet…” she hums, seeming uninterested in Wade’s shock.

She turns to Peter, who remanins asleep during the ruckus (those drugs must be good, wow) and strokes an inexistent beard with a long hum. She squints and does a little “ah-hah!” before turning to the group of adults
