Six months had passed since Chuuya had found shelter with Kaoru and Mamizu, and he had gotten along well with Mamizu from the start.

She had turned out to be a bright woman with long blond hair and blue eyes and had checked Chuuya and given him some tips.He also found out that she had an ability. She called herself "hope for you" and could reverse the sex of the person who touched the midwife. Through this ability, Mamizu had already fulfilled many same-sex couples a desire to have children and also made Chuuya an offer to transform him. However, her ability also had a flaw: when she used it on a person with ability, she only held until said person used their own ability.

Chuuya, who was on the run, gratefully accepted her help. He hoped to be able to completely cover his tracks and change his identity.

No sooner said than done and from then on a new saleswoman named Nakahara Miho worked in the bakery in the side street. She was popular with the customers and everyone who came by got a smile and a chat for free with every purchase. Chuuya liked his job. Sometimes he stood behind the cash register and sold, sometimes he ordered new ingredients and picked them up, and sometimes Kaoru even let him into her holy bakery and taught him a recipe or two. He was well paid for his work and since both Mamizu and Kaoru enjoyed his cooking skills, it was his job to take care of the meals.

All in all, he felt safe in this small bakery.

His pregnancy went without major incidents, only when he sometimes got sick early and he hung over the toilet bowl he wished that someone would be there for him. Other than that, he didn't think much about Dazai anymore. At least that's what he tried to tell himself. When his daughter was born, it had been a home birth with Mamizu's help, and when he looked into her eyes for the first time, he still couldn't push the thought of Dazai aside. Especially not when this little creature opened her eyes for the first time and looked at her mother. Her eyes were hazel and reminded him of Dazai. But his first thought when he held his child in his arms was: 'I will protect her with my life!'. She felt like she could break if you squeezed her too hard, and Chuuya was afraid of accidentally hurting her, so he held her very carefully in his arms. He was lying in his bed and Mamizu and Kaoru were standing next to him. "She's healthy and well. Heavy enough and not too small. Congratulations. But tell me what do you want to name them?" said Mamizu. Chuuya had already thought about it and decided: "I think Daira is beautiful," he replied without taking his eyes off the bundle in his arms. "Yes, I think so," she said as she finished filling out the birth certificate.Chuuya had asked her to exhibit them under the name Miho. Kaoru and Mamizu seemed to have noticed that he was on the run from something or someone but they hadn't asked. Later that night, when Chuuya was alone with Daira, he gently pressed a kiss to her forehead and whispered, "Even though your father is not here, I will always love you. I will make sure that nothing happens to you, even if I have to pay for it with my life!". A silent tear ran down his cheek and he couldn't tell if he was crying out of joy for his daughter or sadness that she would grow up without a father. After rocking his baby in his arms until she fell asleep, he picked up a piece of paper and pen and wrote two letters that he hoped would never be used.

After a year, Chuuya decided that he wanted to find something new, his own and moved to another city after a big farewell to Mami and Kaoru, who had cared for Daira like two aunts. But not after he had promised the two to visit her regularly. Words could not describe how grateful he was to them.
