Ever since joining the Sodor Fleet, Corina had been working on the Brendham Branch Line with Edward. Due to being an Avonside Saddle Class tank engine, she is often considered a fourth sibling to Liz, Percy, and Xander, but it's never been confirmed if she was from the same railway that the three saddle tanks originally came from. Despite this, she is comfortable being a younger sister to the saddle tank trio. The engines often compared her to Xander, as they're both shy and quiet. However, one key difference is that Xander is autistic, which makes antisocial at times, whereas Corina is a slight bit more outgoing.

The one thing makes her shy away the most is whenever she sees a bigger engine, mainly ones with tenders. In one such example, as she was resting at Wellsworth Station, Gordon thundered passed her with the express. She became so scared, that she thought she would fall off the tracks.

"It's okay, Corina," Edward called out. "He's gone now."

"I know," replied Corina nervously. "It's just... I don't like it when that happens."

The only tender engines that Corina is comfortable with are Edward, Henry, Emily, Rebecca, and the Arlesdale engines, as they understand that she scares easy, though she does want to try befriending others.

"I know Gordon didn't mean to scare me, Edward," she said. "But maybe, working on the mainline isn't really good for me."

"Yeah," said Edward. "It can be very noisy. I'm gonna talk to Mr. Starr. Maybe, he can help."

As Edward headed back to Knapford, he kept thinking to himself.

'Corina's a nice engine,' he thought. 'And really useful. I hope there's something that Mr. Starr could arrange for her.'

Then, an idea popped into his funnel: He suddenly remembered the Culdee Fell Railway and how sensitive they are when working. He relayed the idea to Mr. Starr, who also thought it could work for Corina.

The next day, Mr. Starr met up with Corina to talk about it.

"I'm pleased with your work on the Brendham Branch," he said to her. "But I also understand that you don't feel comfortable around big engines. So, I've arranged for you and your siblings to help the engines at the Culdee Fell Railway with building a new branch line to Kenwick Village."

Later, Liz and Percy brought Corina to the Culdee Fell Railway, where she saw small tank engines, as small as the Arlesdale engines, running on smaller rails up to the mountaintop.

"These guys are mountain engines," said Liz. "Working up and down on the mountain. Our first job is to help bring supplies for the new branch line."

Just then, one of the engines, Culdee, came up to them.

"Hello, Percy, Liz," said Culdee. He then turned to Corina. "And you must be Corina, right?"

"Y-Yes," replied Corina nervously. She looked away.

"Sorry," said Percy. "She's timid."

"I used to be like that too," chuckled Culdee. "I'm sure we'll get along fine."

Corina looked back at Culdee, and smiled a little.

And with that, they began working in the new branch line.

Later, the three siblings were talking to Culdee and one of his brothers, Shane, about what it's like to work on the mountain, when a workman called for Corina.

"Excuse me," he said to her. He then pointed to some freight carts. "Could you shunt those to the workshop?"

"Okay," said Corina. And she left to shunt them.
