 TW: Dagger, choking, death

I got out of bed and got ready for the day, I dressed up slightly more than usual but not that much. I went down and had breakfast then I went back up to my room and went out to my balcony. The sky was perfect, there were no clouds and the weather was actually nice, sunny. I rested my arms on the railing and looked over the grounds. Thomas appeared next to me "Nice view" He commented

"Yeah, when does father want to see us?" I asked

"After lunch" He replied

"Ok" I nodded

I went to the library and read for a little while then went back to my dorm and got ready. I went to lunch but didn't eat anything "You need to eat" Thomas commented

"I don't need to eat if I don't want to"

After Lunch Thomas met me in my room and we Apparated to our house. We walked into the meeting room and all eyes turned to us, mainly they were all looking at me. Thomas went and sat down at his seat.

"Circe, come here" My father looked at me. I walked over to him and held out my left hand when he asked. He took it and pressed his wand to it and my arm started to hurt, to burn but I didn't show any sign that it hurt. When he was done I glanced at it then dropped my hand to my side and looked up at the other Death Eaters, a few of them were smiling, cheering silently. I looked back at my father "Circe, it is an honor you got the mark so early, you should be proud. Don't disappoint me, you and Thomas may go now"

I followed Thomas as he pushed open the door. As soon as the door closed his face changed. He grabbed my right hand and we were suddenly in my room. "How does it feel? You didn't show any sign of pain"

"It hurts a lot, it stings"

"It will get better with time, trust me, the first day or two are the worst" He went to the bathroom and came back with a towel "Here, this will help" He put the towel over the mark, the water was cold, really cold.

"Owww, that makes it worse, it's so cold" I pulled my hand away

"Just trust me"

"Fine" I held my hand back out and he put the towel back on. It still was really really cold but it helped with the stinging.

We went back to my dorm "I'm going to dinner, you want to come?" He asked

"Sure" I replied

"Ok, just make sure you keep the mark hidden at all times"

We got down to dinner and I sat next to Thomas and ate a little bit. "Where were you guys?" Mattheo asked us

"Father had a quick mission for us" Thomas replied

"I see" He didn't look convinced but he didn't push it. I went to sleep early that night, I just wanted the day to be over.

(Mattheo's pov)

The break ended and classes were back. It was a Friday morning. Circe had been acting differently than usual, she and Thomas were hiding a secret. When Circe didn't show up for breakfast or lunch, I went to her dorm and she was lying on her bed, reading a book. "Have you been skipping your classes today?"

"No, I just haven't been hungry"

"You need to eat something"

"I said I'm not hungry" She raised her voice, put her book down, and looked at me. Her eyes were crimson. She got up and walked over to the windows and looked out.

"What happened to you, you have changed so much ever since the holiday break" When she didn't answer I walked over to her and put my hand on her shoulder "What happened?" She started crying and I gave her a hug.

"I have no clue" She replied

(Circe's pov)

Another week passed. I was at dinner Friday, chatting with the boys. I was feeling tired so I decided to go back to my dorm. The hallways were getting darker with only candlelight to illuminate them. Suddenly someone pushed me against the wall and started choking me, I couldn't think or move. I tried to grab my dagger but they saw it and grabbed it before me and pointed it at my neck. Thomas, Mattheo I shouted in my head. I could feel the tip of the dagger digging into my throat. He was pulled off of me and I fell to the ground, my head hit the wall and it was in a lot of pain. Mattheo waved his wand at the guy and he was dead. He came over to me and grabbed me by my left hand and pulled me up, I winced at the pain. My mark still hurts even after two-ish weeks. He looked down at my hand and pulled up my sleeve to reveal the mark, he looked back up at me "How long have you had this?" He asked

"Since Easter Break" I replied then everything went black.
