"Your majesty, you need to leave" a man said, opening the door.
Rachel looked at me sadly and smiled weakly.
"It'll be ok" she whispers.
I nod and wipe my tears, leaving the building.
~Rachel's POV~
I watched Ranboo leave and felt tears well up in my eyes. I sat in my seat at people piled in, staring at me with fear.
"Good morning. I have gotten notice from Tyler that we have another witness" the judge said, looking at me.
"Lori Collins please stand"
I watched her stand up slowly, Tyler staring at her.
"Have you witnessed the events?"
She looked at me, tears in her eyes. I nod at her and give her a small smile.
"Yes" she croaks out.
Tyler smiled and looked at me, showing me a sharp blade of glass in his hand. I looked at Lori's arm, it wad dripping blood. He was torturing her.
I spaced out as they discussed. I started focusing again when I heard yelling.
"May I say something?" Ranboo spoke over the noise.
"Your majesty, why are you here?" the judge spoke.
Tyler's face dropped and he glared at me.
Ranboo walked up to the stand and cleared his throat.
"Tyler is lying" he spoke clearly, looking at everyone's reactions.
"Explain" a man from the jury spoke.
"Rachel is my fiancé. She is your future queen and she isn't sneaking into the castle, I let her in. She hit Tyler because he kissed her and she isn't a time traveler"
The crowd erupted into murmurs and Tyler stood up.
"He's just lying because he doesn't want to lose her" he yells.
"Prince Ranboo, did your father approve of this yet?" the judge spoke.
"Well... no. He's away right now."
"So it still counts as a crime. Tyler's point stands true"
Ranboo let out a quick breath and looked at me. He mouthed out 'I'm sorry' with tears in his eyes.
"It's ok" I whisper back.
"Let the court decide a punishment. Most likely punishment is death. You all are dismissed" the judge left the stand and everyone left except Tyler and Lori.
You could practically hear Ranboo's heart drop.
I sat there in shock. I knew it was coming but it still shocked me. Death.
"You absolute psychopath" I point at Tyler.
"Whatever do you mean?"
"You stabbed Lori! Look at her arm!" I grabbed Lori's arm.
"Slip of the finger. Bye." he smiled smugly and left.
I was pulled into a tight hug.
"I'm so sorry" Lori repeated into my ear.
Ranboo still stood in shock, tears streaming down his cheeks.
"Ranboo..." I pull free from the hug and walk over to him.
"I can't lose you. Please" he sobbed, holding me tight.
I just enjoyed the company of his arms, crying into his shoulder.
"I want you to promise me something." I grab his hands and look at him.
"Both of you" I look at Lori.
They nod and I take a deep breath.
"When I die, go into my room and get the box of letters. I want you to keep them Ranboo. Lori, take the green dress that I wore to the ball out of my wardrobe and keep it. And take the bouquet of flowers in my room and press them. Distribute them evenly between the two of you. And lastly, don't forget about me" I cry softly.
"I could never forget about you" Lori hugs me close.
We all stand there, exchanging memories, crying and spending our last moments together.
This was it.
