Part 10

~Rachel's POV~

We were almost to the castle when I heard a twig snap and some leave crunching.

"What was that?" I spun around to see something speed behind a tree.

"Darling, you have to be imagining things. There's nothing there" Ranboo turns around and smiles at me.

"Must be my mind playing tricks on me." I shrug it off and we keep walking.

We get to the castle and we crawl through the hole in the wall.

"Lake's this way" he held my hand tight and brought me over.

"It's beautiful" I gasp, looking at the lake.

I lift my skirt up to my knees and get into the lake.

"What are you doing?" he chuckles.

"Having a good time. Join me?" I smile

He sighs and walks in.

"You're lucky I love you" he sighs, frowning at the water underneath him.

I smile.

"You what?"

"I love you"

"I love you too..."

He smiles brightly at me and pulls me in for a kiss. I smile into the kiss and I hug him tight.

He pulls away and pushes me into the water.

I sputter water out as I get up and I sit there in shock.

I grab his hand and pull him in with me.

He ascends from the water and frowns at me.

"What?"

"Your dress is wet"

"So?"

"Let's go to the castle. We can search my parents room for some of my moms old dresses"

I nodded and got out of the lake, wringing my dress a bit.

I followed him through the castle into a big room.

"Would this work?" he holds up a white dress.

"Yeah that'd work." I smile and take it from him.

He leaves and I change into the dress. I leave the room and he smiles.

"You look lovely" he smiles and kisses me quickly.

"Why thank you. You don't look bad yourself" I smile. He had changed while I was changing into a button down shirt and black pants.

He leads me to the small room with the window where we first hung out.

"Sing me a song" he whispers, laying down.

"What?"

"Sing me a song. Any song."

I clear my throat and start singing one of my favorite songs from my time.

He watches me closely and smiles.

"That's a nice song. Did you make that up yourself?"

"Uh- yeah" I smile, hoping he believed me.

"That's amazing" he pulls me close.

"Stay with me tonight" he smiles

"Of course"

After a while, the sun sets and we go inside.

"I'm hungry" I sigh.

"I can make dinner" he suggests

"That'd be lovely." I smile

He made dinner and set it down in front of me.

"Thank you" I dig into the food.

We talk while we finish our food. I liked talking to him.

"I'm tired" I sigh, getting into his bed.

"So am I" he pulled me close to him.

There was silence as I tried to fall asleep.

"Rachel?" he whispers.

"Yes?"

"Promise you'll never leave me?" his voice was soft.

"Promise" I smile.

"Good" he squeezes my hand.

In a few minutes, I hear soft snoring. He was asleep. I tried to fall asleep in the warmth of his arms.

Yet I couldn't sleep.
