I rolled my eyes as the kids spoke with their father about this weeks adventures as the waitress came back to our table with another worker setting out food on it

" was craving them tacos huh?" I finished cutting Amir's burger in Fours and placed it in front of him. The kids were hungry and engrossed in their food so I focused on my phone where he was staring at me
"I miss you"
" you ate?" I picked up a taco taking a bite from it.

Before I could lie and say no my own seeds turned against me "Yea she do pops!" Amir said between bites
" yea she was in the car saying she missed you so so so much " Kairi said drinking her lemonade
"I know she miss me just as much as I miss her"

"When you come home daddy?" Ayanna asked while trying to strain her neck to see him on the phone
"Real soon. I got a show close to home next week so Imma stop through"
I raised a brow cause that's news to me I didn't see that on his tour dates.
"Steph baby"I focused on him as he motioned for me to put my AirPods in. I heard Amaya whisper to Ayanna " ouu she in trouble" I gave her a pointed look having her continue eating her food
" How y'all ? The house? The store? Everything good?"
" we doing fine David, we staying at your place cause I don't want to not be there if yo baby mama try some dumb ish with my baby"
He nodded his head scratching his beard " you already know that's y'all house too. I know the grand opening of the store is in three weeks."
I twisted my lips to the side licking up my taco and finishing it off. I didn't want to talk about it cause he won't be here. He'll be out in Cali during that time for a concert and meet& Greet. " yea I'm knowing."
" you went out with the security detail I left? Cause PAP already got pictures of you and the kids over there. They tagging me like crazy on the blogs like they caught y'all on some sneak shit"

I nodded my head as I looked up to check on the kids. I saw Ayanna starting to look back and roll her eyes. Looking at that direction I saw the cameras going off " y'all ready to go ?"
" yea ma! Why they keep on taking pictures of us ?"
"" right and then never show us it. I member I was wearing my favorite ever princess dress and they took a picture"
If only Amaya knew it was all over social media trending. I'll maybe show them a few photos and what people are saying but I don't want to expose them to all of that. People are cruel so monitored exposure always.

" yea? We finna head out the kids feeling uncomfortable" I took my AirPods out and handed Amaya the phone as the kids scooted around her talking to Dave
" mommy is going to get boxes, pay, and we'll go okay guys?"

I wasn't worried about leaving them at the table I was literally three feet away at the counter and as soon as I stepped away. Three of the security detail came closer by the table
"Hey can I get five to-go boxes and the check"
Our waitress been busy all night, it was crowded than usual and I guess it was cause of us but we were sitting a bit farther from everyone so the kids wouldn't get uncomfortable from the staring "sure no problem! And I'm sorry I haven't been back there it's been hectic"
"No problem sweetie my kids was back there tearing their food up anyways"
She laughed and handed me the boxes, a box of desserts , and then a receipt
I guess my look of confusion prompted her to explain " your husband called and paid and asked us to prepare a desert for you and the kids"
I smiled thanking her as I grabbed our things heading back to the table.
" Kane you don't even know the Disney princesses NOT EVEN princess Tiana so emberressing" Kairi was swinging from his arm. He didn't seem bothered about it
Dave left his personal body guard Kane as the head security detail for me and the kids And the kids stayed messing with him.
" but I know three real princesses and a prince. Princess Kairi, Ayanna, and Amaya and prince Amir.
" I'm a knight! A prince does nothing!" Amir shouted
" y'all tell your dad thankyou he bought you some sweets" Ayanna had the phone as she yelled thankyou while I placed their food in the boxes
" Kane can you get the car I'll be right out." He nodded as he looked at his other two guards to get prepared to leave " say goodnight to your dad"
They said their bye to their dad and handed me the phone as they started helping me clean.
" I could've paid you know"
" I know which made me want to pay even more."
I rolled my eyes but I love this man " thank you and I'll call you when we get in the house"

I smiled as we hung up me and the kids headed out.
