Repeatedly tapping on my cheeks makes me open my heavy eyes. The lids seem challenging to open like usual. I opened my eyelids, and there was a black figure in front of my face. I took several times to blink before the image became clear.

"Y/N. Babe? Open your eyes." My heart thanked heaven because it saved Jungkook. Jungkook drenches in the rain while I'm still in the car.

"Koo. Your face." My voice came out like whispers. Jungkook's face was inches away from mine. "Let me check it." I reach out my hand to hold his face, but he blocks it.

"I'm okay. Let me bring you out first." Jungkook unbuckles my seatbelt. His blood keeps dripping from his head, showing signs of active bleeding.

"Koo, you still bleeding. Let me see first your wound." I hold both sides of his face. His eyes stare into mine, but his hands are busy searching for my legs.

"No. I have to get you out first. This car can explode any time." He yanks my hands away from his face. "Tell me if you feel any pain." He added before moving my legs out. Using his shoulder as a support, I stand up from the seat. My body drenches in the rain.

He takes my hands and puts them behind his neck before he bends to lift my legs. There is no way I will let him carry me in his situation right now.

I'm too heavy for him to carry, even though without his injury.

"Koo. I can walk." I detach my arms from his neck. I stood in front of him. "Now, let me see your wound." He gives up and lets me run my finger across his scalps to find any bump or cut.

He hissed when my index finger touched his wound two centimeters away from his hairline. It's not a deep cut, but I still can feel the hot liquid coming out of it.

"Thank god for your wound is not that deep. Just use this handkerchief to stop the bleeding." I put my handkerchief over the wound.

"Are you okay? Did you hurt anywhere?" Jungkook's turn to worry about me. He searched my body for wounds before landing his hand on my belly. "Is your stomach hurt?"

"Nope," I answered, amazed that this accident didn't harm the baby or me. Feeling sore here and there is considered as usual when you involve in an accident.

"Are you sure?" Jungkook's gaze pierced my soul, looking for any sign that I had lied to him. I smile at him, but before I answer him, my eyes catch light from above.

"There is a light. I think someone is searching for us." I wave my hand before Jungkook yanks my hand and pulls me into the woods.

We walk further into the woods. Uneven land makes us difficult to move faster—the mud splashes all over my pants and shoes.

Being wet and walking for a few minutes in this condition became difficult for me. My body feels ten times more heavy than usual.

My chest is tight and almost explodes from walking faster. Losing my breath makes me yank Jungkook's hand from the back.

"I'm tired." I gasped—Jungkook checked the surrounding before helping me squat down behind the tree.

He cages me from behind with his breath fanning over my ear.

"Stay quiet. We have to wait until they leave." Jungkook whispers. I can see several men holding the torchlight, wandering around. If I can yell now, they can help us.

"Why are we running? They can help us." I lower my voice, even though I want to yell. Jungkook quickly covers my mouth when the man turns in our direction.

He slowly approaches us. Jungkook's grip on my shoulder tightens while he holds his breath. Another man reaches out and taps the first man's shoulder.

After talking to each other, they leave there. I have seen no light from their torchlight. My mouth is free from Jungkook's hand after all the men disappear.
