9th Period Blues

You see,

My school has 9th period

and in this 9th period,

you sit and read for 45 minutes

depending on your team study teacher

it may need to be quiet and you must have something to do

or you can talk and play games.

Sadly, I have the first

although, it isn’t too terrible

its easy to get lost in your boredom.

If you’re lucky you may have a window

to glance out and there may be a tree,

or two, One Green an evergreen and one bare

unidentifiable.

If your really bored

you’ll forget what you were doing and glance

at the clock.

Halfway through. Yay.

Maybe you’ll wanna doodle

or think about that someone.

You could even crack a smile

at something that was fun at lunch

Either way your still bored

Closing your eyes and sleep may be another option,

to which you awake

being yelled or possibly screamed at

So you think the better of it.

Checking the clock, only 5 minutes have passed

so you’ll put down your writing utensil

and read hoping to pass the time faster.
