"I've had enough," I say, or, at least, I attempt to say over the loud music.

"No, it's water! Drink it!" Base yells, trying to get his voice over the music. I refuse, shaking my head. I don't really feel like drinking anything more right now—I feel like that will just push me to puke. He leans in closer, and tries again with a louder voice—perhaps, thinking I didn't quite hear him the first time—he repeats, "no, it's water! Drink it!"

I take the cup into my hands just to please Base, hoping that he'll let me be and walk off. He doesn't. He stands there with eyes that beckon me to go on and drink. I sigh, giving up on trying to explain myself over the loudness of the music. I take a sip, and as I lower the cup, Base starts waving his open palm upwards and towards me, gesturing for me to drink more.

"I can't," I say, but I know my volume isn't nearly loud enough to reach him so I just shake my head—apparently, Base does not like that, because he gives me the look of a parent scolding their child for refusing a dose of medicine.

"You need it!" Base yells, his blue eyes insistent. I give in and down the cup of water and Base gives me an approving nod before he finally walks off. Then, he stops, turns back around and gets up close to my ear, shouting, "I'll get you some more!"

"Thanks!" I yell back in response, towards his ear—even though what I really want to say is, 'no, thanks'. He pats my shoulder before taking off again, disappearing into the crowd. As soon as he's gone, I feel the urge to vomit so I get up and head for one of the nearest bathrooms—or at least, towards where I think that the bathroom is. Somehow, I manage to find myself outside, instead.

After violently emptying the contents of my insides, I finally realize that I'm on the green grass of a very large and very green lawn that now has a large puddle of pinkish goop defacing its otherwise perfect features. I'm not quite sure how I went from Brogan's conservatory at the rear of his house, all the way to the massive, manicured, landscaped lawn at the very front of his house—considering how massive and huge his house is, I don't see how I could have possibly covered all that ground so quickly.

I try to return to my feet, but the spinning just gets worse and I end up spewing more liquids that I didn't think that I'd still had. The dizziness from all of the spinning of my world around me forces me to lie down onto the grass. I close my eyes, but the spinning still worsens, so I open them again, reluctantly.

I just want to sleep to make it all go away, but I can't even close my eyes for fear of feeling worse—so I stare at the stars of the clear night sky, trying to will the spinning to go away. It seems, no matter what I do, the spinning continues to get worse. Wanting to go home, climb into my bed, and go straight to sleep, I pull out my phone and text for my ride to pick me up—perhaps, literally, collect my body from off of Brogan's lawn.

As the spinning begins to subside and my body now screams for water, I open my eyes to absolute darkness. It must be a bedroom, because I feel like I'm in a bed, but as I reach above my head, I feel no bedposts—just a barren wall. I can't feel the padded, floor-to-ceiling headboard that would be present if it were my own bed—so this must be somebody else's bedroom, but I don't know whose it is.

I groan as I get to my feet, only realizing that I had been tucked into the bed by a big, plush blanket, when said blanket manages to trip me—I fall onto my chest with a resounding thud. As I start to pick myself back up from off the stiff fibers of the foreign, but vaguely-familiar carpet, I hear something or someone rustling about on the other side of the room. A door flings open, revealing the temporarily blinding light emanating from within a bathroom, along with a familiar figure that stands within the frame—Jordan? How in the hell did I wind up at his place? In his bed? This cannot be good.
